"Premium" is a semi-autobiographical, independent movie written and directed by Pete Chatmon, produced by Kevin Frakes and Lynn Appelle, stars Dorian Missick, Zoe Saldana, Hill Harper, Frankie Faison, Eva Pigford and William Sadler. The film also features 3 original tracks by D.M.C.

Developed at the Sundance Institute, Premium is a romance while also being a commentary on how African Americans are being portrayed in film. The main character, Cool, is a struggling actor who is fed up with auditioning for roles for gangsters, drug dealers, criminals, etc. He just wants a normal role! At the same time, he runs into his former fiancé and promptly falls for her again. The problem is that she is now engaged to someone else. Premium follows Cool as he struggles to become a legitimate actor and figure out his romantic situation.
