about
i compose music for contemporary and multimedia musicdance projects, perform my own music live on electric guzheng and percussion (postworld improvised music/live looping/fx) and with multimedia musicdance projects, and do circledrumevents (community drumming) and relaxation/healing concerts on tibetan bowls and gongs ( innerSounds ).
although sound is my main reason for creating music, i was always drawn to and inspired by the visual arts, body expression, movement/dance and eventually found myself training in experimental movement theater. the encounter with theater/movement opened my eyes to music and its healing virtues. i got interested in and studied overtones, yoga, body/breath awareness, healing aspects of sound/color, north indian traditional vocal and percussion (dhrupad style) and indian music therapy.
