My Interests

I'm a BIG Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim fan. I love the game of baseball with a passion! I enjoy sports overall, but baseball is my first love. I enjoy reading, playing games (both video & otherwise), enjoy the beach (though I don't get to go much anymore) & I'm a longtime player of MajorMUD. I like to do a lot of outdoor activities & I always enjoy the company of friends, weather just hanging out, playing ball, watching movies or having a drink. My friends are an extension of my family. I'd like to meet:

People I've never met before. Smart people. People who have opinions & can think for themselves & be creative. People with a sense of humor & a good personality. Men & Women who aren't looking for validation, who believe in themselves. Somebody with a brain, who's actualy REMOVED the shrink wrap & put that puppy to USE in a good way! Having an open mind doesn't hurt either. I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but I hope everyone will listen to what I have to say & take my opinions into account, because I'll be extending that courtesy to them as well.

Music:

I'm a big fan of 80's rock & roll. I like classic rock & hard rock. I like classical & I'll listen to most anything, except rap (which I don't consider music). Some of my favorite bands are Survivor, Def Leppard, Bad Company, Steve Miller Band, RUSH, Van Halen, Duran Duran, etc..

Movies:

Top Gun is a favorite, but I have an extensive movie collection. I love the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I'm a big James Bond fan. A favorite of mine that not everyone has seen is "Life as a House" with Kevin Klein. I'm a HUGE Kevin Smith fan. My favorite film is Clerks, for reasons that people who know me could understand easily. I'm always looking for new flicks at IMDb.com. Television:

I'm a big fan of TV shows from the 80's. The A-Team, Battlestar Galactica, V, Buck Rogers, the Greatest American Hero. I disslike reality television shows. If the reality of your life is so mundane that you need a little visceral action watching other people be freaks on TV, then GET OUT OF THE HOUSE MORE! I love CSI & the Dead Zone, otherwise, not much that's on TV nowadays interests me.

Books:

I'm mainly a Science Fiction/ Fantasy reader myself, but I enjoy anything that really grabs me. From Westerns to Thrillers; True Crime to Political writings; Psychology to the Paranormal, I'll read anything that keeps me turning the pages. My Favorite author is Raymond E. Feist, an author out of San Diego, who I would love to meet. He wrote a series of Fantasy novels called the Riftwar Saga, which is my favorite series of novels.

Heroes:

Richard Kent, my old math teacher who also was the Varsity Basketball coach. Sheriffs Deputies, Firefighters, Teachers, Police Officers, Highway Patrol personnel, Doctors, Nurses & the greatest military in the WORLD, the United States Military, including but not limited to the US Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy & Coast Guard as well the Homeland Security personnel. All these people do a job that is thankless & rarely pays much, but requires them to make HUGE sacrifices. I appreciate that type of sacrifice & unselfishness. People like that are MY HERO because they make a difference in the lives of those they touch. To me, that's what being a hero is all about!
