About Me
YEP... I'M BACK!!
MY SITE WENT MISSING SO HERE'S MY NEW ONE!!!
..& I LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING ALL MY FRIENDS BACK.
LOVE ELVIS! XXX
RABBIT WITH ATTITUDE?
Can't do much about my name, I was born with it, under a wanderin star!
I just keep on rockin' round my clock!
.. so it's one for the Bunny, two for the show, three to get ready &
Go rabbit go!
People say to me... You ain't nothing but a... Great big white fluffy rabbit
with some serious attitude!
...So don't step on my white fluffy toes!
HAY.. HAVE YOU SEEN MY PHOTOS YET???
...I HOPE YOU LIKE THEM!!!
As far as house rabbits go, I'm quite spoilt & have run of the house
as you'll see from my pictures. I'm also quite well travelled & commute
regularly between my owners homes in North & South-West London.
Sometimes I'm privileged to be chauffeured in the car, on other occasions
I go by bus, train or tube. If it's not rush hour then I'm allowed to take
a seat to myself, but I really have to be well behaved then, especially
as I find that so many people are staring at me. So it's nose in the air
and a stuff upper lip - I'm very British you know, even though I'm originally
from the Himalayas, but hay, time does strange things doesn't it.
I'm also quite partial to my food, I love hay, carrots, basil, corriander,
savoy cabbage, curly cale, pear, strawberry, peach & apricot. The vet
says I'm not allowed lettuce or banana - it's really not good for me,
but actually I love it, but I can only dream about it. I mostly love chocolate -
special rabbit chocolate treats, but I'm only entitled to this when I've
been particularly good, when I have my coat brushed or if I haven't
eaten anything I shouldn't have throughout the day, like wallpaper,
cables & telephone charger leads - they're great! But I'm told that one
day I'll electrocute myself if I'm not careful, & the electric stuff is now
kept well out of my reach! Oh, & I forgot to tell you, I love to sleep alot
during the day & hop around all over the house in the morning and early
evenings. I eat at the same time as my family - I'm quite sociable like
that, & I love to watch tv, listen to the radio and sunbathe. I love visitors,
they always seem amused by me so I always try to put on a good show.
Most of all my family loves me so much and I love them so much too.
They are the best! Elvis x

STOP THE FUR TRADE NOW!
The Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade opposes the use of all animal fur.
They believe that the suffering and death of animals cannot be justified
to supply such a trade.
RABBIT FUR COMES FROM TWO SOURCES - rabbits raised specifically for
their fur, and rabbits raised primarily for their meat. The conditions in
which the animals are raised (usually factory farming where they are
crammed into bare wire cages and denied the ability to perform natural
behaviours such as jump, run or dig) are similar, as is their death. Death
is usually by neck-breaking or the throat being slit. The rabbits will also
suffer when being transported between farm and market and / or slaughter,
and are often roughly handled.
IN BRITAIN IT IS ILLEGAL TO BREED ANIMALS SOLELY OR PRIMARILY
FOR THEIR FUR. Therefore most fur, including some rabbit fur, sold in
Britain is produced in a way that would be illegal in this country.
Some people may think that if the fur is a 'by-product' of the meat
trade then its use is acceptable. But one must consider the suffering of
the animals whatever the purpose of that suffering. You don't need
toys made from real fur so how can the use of rabbit fur be justified?
The use of real fur financially supports the ways in which the animals
are raised and killed. It also promotes the general use of real fur.
THE FUR TRADE KILLS 40 MILLION ANIMALS A YEAR WORLDWIDE,
breeding them in barren cages where they go mad and mutilate
themselves, or trapping them in vicious leg hold traps where many
try to escape by gnawing off their own limbs. The use of rabbit fur for
these toys is no different. By buying any real fur these are the acts that
YOU are paying for.
THERE IS NO NEED TO USE REAL ANIMAL FUR with such an abundance
of high quality synthetic materials.
Some of the shops selling these toys, and many of the people buying
them, do not even realise they are made from real fur until groups such
as CAFT point it out to them. www.caft.org.uk
HRS OPPOSES RABBIT FUR
House Rabbit Society believes strongly that a rabbit's fur should be worn
only by one individual: THE RABBIT! We vehemently oppose the use of
rabbit fur to make coats, collars, earmuffs, cat toys, or anything else, and
we encourage you to contact any company designing, marketing or selling
rabbit fur and ask them to STOP! Sadly the companies engaged in these
practices are, unfortunately, far too numerous to list. www.rabbit.org
