About Me

Myspace Layouts
I'm a 26 y.o. Betty Crocker/ Lil Susie homemaker. I have a wonderful little 6 y.o. boy (Cameron) who is too smart for his own good, a terrific husband (Corey), and a new little round the clock eater (Jacob) who joined our family on September 25th. Corey is awesome and I love him to death. He's my rock that I lean on when I can't stand on my own. He also puts up with me and my weird quirks- like my insane addiction to coffee and junk food. I used to work as a manager for GNC, too- tell me how THAT makes sense. Now I'm a stay-at-home mom working full time at keeping my sanity. Trust me, it IS a full time job-just ask my husband, he'll vouch for me. I'm probably undiagnosed ADHD, but I'm entertaining.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

I LOVE to cook. It'd be fun to get paid to do what I love, but I guess that I DO if you count the fact that I raid my husband's wallet on a regular basis. I like to surf the web sometimes, but now that Jacob is here, I spend most of my time holding him. I've perfected the one-arm surfing technique, though. I have a standing date with my best bud Alli EVERY week for coffee and One Tree Hill- which will not change even if we live a thousand miles apart- thank God for webcams and phones. Occasionally, we have people over for a few drinks, but nothing too crazy... well, there was that ONE time that security was called, but.... I know, pretty exciting life, huh? But wait! There's more! Wait... no there isn't. I'm a homebody. But that's ok cuz my mommy thinks I'm cool. And by mommy, I mean EVERYONE, and by cool, I mean STRANGE. I guess you could say that my interests are family, food, friends, Friday nights, and another word that starts with an f... frogs? No, that's not it. I'll get back to you. It'll come to me.

I'd like to meet:

Juan Valdez or the maker of Folgers- geniuses in my eyes. J/K (actually I'm not joking). I would want to meet Jack Johnson so that I could tell him just how much I love his music. I could probably say something like "I want to meet God", but why rush the inevitable? I'd like to meet Orlando Bloom (what girl doesn't? don't lie- you don't make friends easier that way). I think I'd also like to meet Rachel Ray from the food network because she seems like a nice person and fun to hang out with- plus we both have a love of cooking. I know, I seem geeky, but I'm not trying to impress you all- I'm just giving a warning as to what I'm like- a glimpse, if you will, into my psyche- and from there you can decide if you want to undergo the years of therapy it will take to undo damage I will have caused to your mind. Ask my hubby- HUGE amounts of recovery time. He'll never recover. DOA- Disturbed Over Amber. Of course, if you still want to chat, you can leave me a message on here or try to catch me on .. luvmnky216

Music:

I'm a mut when it comes to music. I like everything. My dad was in a rock and roll band and my brother has been in a rock band and a punk band, so I've been immersed in everything. I listen to 90.1 a lot (which is Christian) and it has Jars of Clay, Jeremy Camp, and Nicole Nordeman, to name a few. I like some Country, like Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill. I love Alternative, like No Doubt, Jack Johnson, and a zillion more. I have a sick obsession with 80's hits lately like The Cure, Billy Idol, David Bowie, and so on. I listen to the REAL oldies, like Bobby Darin and the Rat Pack: Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis jr. Heck, I even have Celtic music on my play list. Just try to find reason to my rhymes. I wish you the best of luck. You won't find any.

Movies:

I would like to say that I'm down with watching scary movies, but let's be honest. If you're reading this, and you know me already, then you know that I only want to see a scary movie until I've seen it- then I'll beg my husband to always remind me from then on that I HATE scary movies. They seriously freak me out for a while afterward. I'm more into the comedy, romantic comedy thing. I love old movies with Doris Day and Cary Grant. From time to time, I surprise my husband by liking something he never thought I'd be into- like action films. Stuff with blood, guts and gore- but rarely does that happen. Oh, and of course- I'm into chick flicks. Happily ever after. The man is always there for the woman, trying to make her happy any way possible. Good stuff. It makes Corey gag (usually), but it's my birthright as a woman to love these sappy, cinematic flicks.

Television:

I have a thing lately for watching CSI and Grey's Anatomy- have you seen it? You should. Thank you Alli for getting me hooked. I own all the seasons of Sex and the City. I love the Gilmore Girls and the Dead Zone. Just like my music, my taste in TV shows is broad. I watch the Food Network, of course, and I get ideas for what I want to do next. My husband, Corey, doesn't mind that one, though, because I try out all my culinary quests on him. You know the saying: the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. It's true. Simple creatures, men are. Give them food and praise, and they'll eat it up. Much like puppies. With this in mind, Rachel Ray and Alton Brown are my best friends... and if you actually know who I'm talking about, then you watch too much Food Network, too. Oh, and the Simpsons. Definately the Simpsons. Oh yeah! Family Guy, too! Long live Stewey!

Books:

There once was a time that I had the attention span AND the time to sit down and read a lengthy novel like a Dean Koontz or Stephen King masterpiece, but its pretty difficult to get into one lately. Now I'm more into magazines. No commitment required. Much like your one night stand.

Heroes:

Anyone who has the courage to do the right thing when other people's opinions or tremendous circumstances are stacked against them i.e. the firefighters in 9/11 and the girl who died for proclaiming her faith in the Columbine shooting. And not to sound all cheesy, but the biggest hero in my life is my husband. He's gone above and beyond the call of duty to make me happy and to take care of me- he deserves a medal.
