INFERNO was officialy formed in 1996 but the idea of a band existed already in 1995. Their first demo called "Peklo Na Zemi" was previously self-released in 500 copies (and after six years released once again by polish label Old Legend Productions). This opened a promising way for the band - first concerts and connections with the metal underground where accomplished and ready to evolve in the future. A year later, in 1997, another 500 copies of a brand new demo "Temna poselstvi davnych predku" repelently came to life and INFERNO played gigs in Germany with: Maniac Butcher, Eminenz,Impending Doom and others. Then, in 1999, a stream of split releases and a live album took place: "Live In Bitterfeld" (Sombre Rec. / Eclipse Prod.), Inferno / Celestia (Sombre Records), "Proti Vsem" (Maniac Butcher/Sezarbil/Inferno, Pussy God Rec.), Moonblood / Inferno (Mistress Dance / Sombre Rec.), "Metal From Hel" (Maniac Butcher/Inferno, Sombre Rec.). In 2001 Belphegor (drumms) leaved the band and Svarog filled the line-up. All this led to a to a debut full-length release: "Duch Slovanské Sily" (Eclipse Production/ re-released on CD in 2007 by Long Ago Rec.). The same year Old Legend Prod. re-released the album on tape and Sombre Rec. on a limted to 350 copies LP. 2002 was the year of a live album, "Live From The Woods", released by Forgotten Wisdom Prod. and limited to 500 handnumbered copies. Then again 2003 was opened by two splits - "Acherontis Avari / Hrdi A Silni" (Apolokia/Inferno, Sombre Rec.), "Hrdi A Silni / Satanic Martial Terror" (Inferno/Infernal War, Death's Abyss) and closed by a full-length album: "V návratu pohanstvÃ..." (released by Old Legend Prod. and in 2006 released on vinyl with 3 bonus tracks by Terranis Prod.). The album was followed by a best of
compilation called "Fucking Funeral Attack 1997-2004" (Forgotten Wisdom Prod.), EP "Chrám Nenávisti" (contains of live tapes from a concert in Serbia, Unholy World Prod.), limited to 500 copies "Legie nesmrtelných" EP (Eclipse Prod) and "Ve znamenà ohnÄ›" EP (Eclipse Prod) - all released in 2004. After that, the band finally started to play concerts around Europe. 2006 was clothed in two releases: a split "Sacrifice for Black Metal Magic/Flames of Torment" (Fagyhamu/Inferno, Terranis Prod.) and album "Nikdy NepokÅ™tÄ›ni" (Die Todesrune Records). Year after that INFERNO went on a 14-day tour in Europe and played a lot of concerts in general. There where also some splits made - "Messages Written In Blood / Graveyard Smell" (Inferno/ Front Beast, Front Beast Rec.), "Triumph - Dark - Brotherhood" (Inferno/The Stone, Undercover Records) , "Gold Tribute for Idea / Feuervogel" (Inferno/Amalek, self-released) and "Infernal Belief" (Inferno/Tundra, Long Ago Rec) in 2008. A difficoult-to-deny, long history of various releases reaches at length the gates of a forth album "UctÃvánà temné zuÅ™ivosti" out on Undercover Records in 2008 and stomped by "Blood Poisoned by the Glorious Evil" (split with Winter Blasphemer) and live album recorded in 2005 "Live Plague" (Grom Records, 2008). After 5 years of absence Belphegor came back and took his part behind the drum kit. Their music and lyrics can be described as intolerant, anti-human Black Metal. The following year INFERNO made a deal with Agonia Records.
