Rogue River String Band

About Me

In July of aught-five the Rogue River String Band changed the musical landscape of Austin, Texas. They added some potholes.

Rogue River is a musical tribute to the old-time and traditional music of our pasts and the people who have carried that music with them. Our music has floated across the waters of the Gulf Coast and tumbled through the mountains and prairies of the West to crash down in the soils of Texas.
We try to honor our varied musical heritages, from bluegrass to blues, cajun to country and all manner of roots music in between without putting limits on what old-time is "supposed" to sound like. We'll play anything that sounds good and is fun to play.

"Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society." At least that's what Mark Twain thought. To that end, give our Cafe Press shop a visit.
