COLONY 5 (electro/futurepop - sweden)
2007
And a new album was announced despite several rumors of Colony 5 splitting up or not releasing anything else. It was planned for early that year but this fourth album being their uncompromising, fun album they continued working on it until November and set a early 2008 releasedate instead. The new single “Knives†is being released inside 2007 though. And it's promising an album with heavier sounds, dirtier sound and less commercial melodies, but with the ever present soul of C5 always being there. Colony 5 also changes their GermanyAustriaSwitzerland record company, signing a deal with Infacted Recordings. They also work closely with Epicentre Booking for their shows in mainly Germany.
2006
is a silent year, the only release is ReFixed which is the FIXED album remixed by Amplifier straight through. Colony 5 also did not perform so much this year, playing only Arvikafestivalen and some gigs around Norway, Denmark and Germany.
2005
Colony 5 has now been a duo for over a year and now it's time for the first real release. The first single "Plastic World" was unleashed in Feb/March, it is taken from the album FIXED which is then released the 18th of April worldwide. It is a more diverse album than before still within the regulated formula we've worked with since the very beginning of Colony 5. It's dance floor friendly, melodic and emotional. This time Colony 5 wins a SAMA award for best song with "Plastic World"
2004
was a good year for Colony 5 despite only releasing a singles collection "Colonisation" featuring three new songs (the single was supposed to be a double A-side called "Fate/Accelerate" with Science as a B-side but they opted to released it exclusively on "Colonisation". They also visited some new countries (Russia and Mexico for example) but kept the amount of gigs down to focus on the new album. But the work put in to C5 in 2004 didn't become visible until the beginning of 2005 when the release of the new single "Plastic World" and the album "FIXED". Colony 5 also shot a video for "Plastic World" as a low budget but humorous minimalistic adventure. Colony 5 again got nominated for a SAMA award, this time looses out to Statemachine.
2003
On the 31st of March Colony 5 releases their new single "Black" with three new songs on it. It's followed by the second album "Structures" on the 19th of May. On the album there is also a video for the song "Black" that got some respectable air-time on Onyx.tv Colony 5 are also nominated at SAMA as Best Newcomer, but sadly looses to Melody Club. During the summer Colony 5 plays the big festivals, Arvikafestivalen, Wave Gotik Treffen and M'era Luna. They also appear on the NBC Giga channel as special guests and did an interview for the program Starsearch on Onyx.tv The fall is time for more production and a much needed vacation for all. Sadly it also becomes more than a vacation for Johan who leaves the band 1. Nov. P-O and Kalnins keep the name and works on.
2002
Colony 5 releases their first own CD in the form of the EP "Colony 5" followed by the full length CD "Lifeline". In the summer of 2002 Magnus Kalnins joins the band and C5 releases the second single, "Follow Your Heart", with three brand new songs.
2001
Johan Nilsson joins the band in March. In April C5 performs live in a contest called "Quest for Fame". Most of the demo synthbands from Sweden participates in the contest and Colony 5 ends up at second place right after Michigan. In July C5 appears with the song "Stay Young" on the Compilation Monument 7 (released by Powerspot / Memento Materia). In August Magnus Löfdahl leaves the band.
2000
C5 appears with the song "Liquid Love" on two compilations: Monument 6 (released by Powerspot / Memento Materia) and Shadow Dancing released by A Diffrent Drum.
1999
Colony 5 is founded by P-O Svensson and Magnus Löfdahl in March. The whole project is more of a hobby than a serious music band, and the music is more or less influenced by synth pop. After a while the music changes and the sound becomes harder and faster.

head-less (electro/bodypop - germany)
head-less
is the bands name from the Lausitz, Germany, whose members have set themselves the goal to produce their own version of electronic pop music. In their songs head-less attach importance to a high degree of danceability and contemporary electronic sounds. Concerning the realm of music they are most likely to be classified to Electro/Futurepop with influences by different forms of electronic music. In the late ninetees they had their first musical attempts and decided to found a band. After a few recastings the line-up has been consisting of
Rene Hentzschel ( vocal / lyrics )
Markus Otto ( samples / management )
Matthias Marko ( keys / programming )
since 2001. In autumn 2000 they released their debut EP/CD Friendship that was produced in their own headquarter-studio. With the single they were not only able to have airplay-performances in the regional area and abroad but also to get positive criticism and acknowledgement by specialist publications and DJs. In the end of 2002 head-less released their debut album "[transponder]", including the title Licht im Grau that even advanced to a hit in some Saxon scene clubs. Being a live-band they could make a name at numerous clubgigs and open air festivals, i.a. as support for bands like Blind Passengers, Colony 5, DE/ Vision, S.P.O.C.K., Mesh, Funker Vogt, Camouflage, Covenant & Project Pitchfork. Another highlight was touring with VNV Nation on the easteuropean part of their "Judgement Tour" in 2007. They were also support on Melotron´s "Cliche Konzertreise" (2005) and "Propaganda Tour" (2007). Because of the charismatic singer and frontman Rene Hentzschels infectious stage performance the concerts are a real experience and disprove the cliché of the static synthie-show. In 2004 head-less successfully took part in the Battle of the Bands, the contest of the scene magazin Sonic Seducer. Of about 500 bands of the European Gothic and Electro scene head-less managed to position themselves within the Top 5 of the renowned specialist jury. Inspired by that, head-less decided to produce further songs with Kolja Trelle ( SOMAN ), one of the top-producer concerning the Electro/Industrial Scene, in his KOLTRON studio. These are released in form of the Ship Of Agony E.P., that also offers a few remixes of well-known and internationally successful bands. So the successful American Electro formation Assemblage 23, the Swedish Colony 5 as well as the German Accessory, Cephalgy and Rector Scanner, among others, contributed their versions of diverse head-less songs to the E.P.. One will definitely ensure some sensation also with this publication in the scene again. In 2006 they continued working with producer Kolja Trelle and as result the second CD "Rouge Et Noir" was released in 2007. The "Ship Of Agony E.P." was featured as bonusdisc on the special edition of this CD. "Rouge Et Noir" was very positive received by the DJ´s and the people and reached No. 8 at the DAC ( german alternative charts ). To promote "Rouge Et Noir" head-less started their "Rouge Et Noir Clubtour" in 2006/07 with more than 20 shows in germany and countries like poland, czech republik, slovakia, hungary and an incredible show in moscow. head-less have the qualifications and abilities to stand out of a big number of electroacts so that they will be appreciated by the audience and in the clubs.
...just be prepared for the future...
