About Me

My name is Koji Yamamoto. I was born in 1986 in Nagoya. I grew up listening to classical music and watching movies. So I grew up to be a film-major amateur musician. I just love something creative. I love heavy metal so much that I started my own band called AKUMA. I'm the singer and guitarist. Film is my another passion. I learn from films. It's a good way to learn the philosophy of life. I have had a lot of pets in my life. I have had hamsters, a squirrel, a ferret, a dog, a rice bird and a parakeet. So I like most of the animals except the ones that try to kill me or eat me.

Movies:

Everything excpet the ones made for teen age girls. Akira Kurosawa films are my favorite. I like the ones with really deep meaning in the story.

"Letters From Iwo Jima" has a really deep message in it. It tells you that the enemies American people wanted so bad to be dead back then were actually the people who missed their families, wept when their friends died and tried whatever they could to survive to see their families again. War is meaningless. That's what the film tells us.

Television:

I don't dig TV shows in America. They are not as funny as TV shows in Japan. Dizzy Boxing.

Books:

"Bushido" by Inazo Nitobe. I'm also reading bunch of books about the philisopy of life.

Heroes:

Hitoshi Matsumoto and Masatoshi Hamada. They are the most professional and dedicated entertainers in Japan. The best comedians ever.
