I'm from Iceland Reykjavik, and just all over the city. I lived originally in Breiðholt and frequently vissited Kleppsveg so my two homes that I remember 111 and 105. Then I moved to KeplavÃk and lived their for 2 years and then moved to kleppsveg(105) moved after 2 years or sumthin and lived away from close family to other family lived somewere in Reykjavik and then after sum bullshit I moved here to America and well life just changed. I guess music makes us what we are and without it we wont find our true selves. I pretty much enjoy all music out their Rap, Rock, Hip-Hop, R&B, Jazz, Techno, Electro, Indie, Reggae, Folk music, and well mabby even some quiet Mozard music at times. I can lissen to whatever as long as it sounds good and most of the times has a good message and speaks the trueth. Rappers out their I can enjoy cause they speak the trueth and rap it out for what they belive in. Tupac, NWA, Biggie and Bone-Thugs, all of them spoke the trueth about their own lives story's. Tupac, spouk how he felt and with his feelings. Also didn't care what others would think of him or anything like that. He spoke his mind and in my category was a poet. Biggie, had the same story and never made anything ever bother him. The NWA, may have been classified as what society calls a bad influence wille they spouk the trueth about what happend on their streets and things like they witnessed. Famous rappers like Eazy-e, Ice-Cube and Dr.Dre, were in the group with others. They broke up later on in years and went their own ways, but both started off giving some more rappers the spot light. Eazy, brought Bone-Thugs in the light and made them big. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, spoke their feelings also and is what also makes them a great rap group. Probabply out of the thugs that really spoke his heart was Bizzy Bone, he was real. Also rap is very rebelious of a genre. It speaks what it wants and their is also something alse that speaks what it wants and feels.....Rock'n Roll. Rock was something that developed out the United Kingdom in areas like England. Rock is music that stands out for alot of things and brakes all the rules that are to brake. Guys like Alice Cooper, made something new and out of this world that people hadn't seen wich was Heavy Metal. It was never really about his music but, about his performence on stage wich he turned in to nothing more then a little horror movie. He juat went on stage and made a performance with his songs and made history. As Alice Cooper, influenced a new style with his music artists after were inspired and made music. Kiss a new group came with characters never seen. The chatacters identity is that ones a Demon, ones a Cat, Ones the rockstar, and the other is just out of this world. These guys also did insace things on stage like spitt blood on stage or fire. The band is one of the most remembered but, slolly softend and their were made action figures and merchandise with the characters. the characters showed their soft side with "I was made for lovin' you". Later the group was over and splitt. Later in history rock went soft and all you had to do to be a rockstar was to dress like a bitch and your in. Later a band called Metallica, dissed the fake wannabe crazy boys and brought Heavy back. Then Later on guys like Guns N' Roses, came and showed something new that hadn't been done before and had a new look. They were just street and allways something happend after every performents. In the time of the 90's rock was back in the middle when Ozzy Osbourne, came and brought his highlight agian. In the time alot of kind of rock had surfaced wich can fall in almost any catagory. Like Rap rock, wich was first laughed at but, now stands up as a genre as well as all.Well what I'm trying to bring the point up with is that Rock and Rap is both very rebelious. They also both have this anger toward society and this Fuck the World attidute wich really sticks out in both of their atmosphere. Both of these genres have had trouble with society and alot these artists have been framed for their music like, Tupac and Marlyn Mansion. Thoe now days with the real pretty much gone out of both and now days we have a bunch of posers. We got artists but, their all of bunch of posers. Wannabe Gangster are mostly in the studio now days wich are also known as Studio Gangsters. They talk about stuff wich they have never been through and they often become the most well respected. Also rockers now days just dress like bitches and get on stage and ''act'' like their crazy when their really not. If it aint you get of the stage. Music is pretty much dead now...one day it might be brought back as time goes as rap and rock have both lost their spirit.My country is known as pretty much a peace loving country thoe most thigns are shut through closed doors. We have some rappers out their, but nothing that has made it real far. It's either been on the point and lost it or never had it. We do got some famous ones like Quarashi and xxx Rottweiler hundarand others that aint that popular but, are on their way. Iceland is some what classfied as a clean country to Americans un-known to it, but is really now days full of drugs and bad influences. Iceland might have changed over this time, but it's a very easy country to influence for being so small.
