I inherited my Dad's brain (relentlessly driven; ie. neurotically hard on myself) and my Mom's heart (sensitive to people's needs and feelings; i.e. cries at Hallmark commercials.) Both help with my career as an actor and musician. I act and write screenplays, theatre and shorts as a way of connecting to other people's lives and experiences; I sing and write music as a way of connecting to my own.
When I take a good, hard look at my life, I think I'm really lucky; I'm surrounded by great family & friends and have the chance to chase my dreams. My parents taught me the "work hard, play hard" Irish way of life and it's working out pretty damn well.
