About Me

Lerto (Lair-Toe) is Larry Casale. Singer-Songwriter-Musician. All Electric, Acoustic, Slide and Bass Guitars, Drums, Percussion, Harmonica, Vocals and Background Vocals by Lerto. All original lyrics and music by Lerto. Originally from the Bronx in NYC, moved to Stratford, Shelton & Danbury CT. Also Ontario Canada and St Petersburg FL. Now living in Florida near the University. Lerto has played in a few bands over the years with music ranging from Classic Rock to Blues and more with many original numbers. He started out in the garage/party rock band FAKE VOICES. Then in his late teens he was the co-founder, lead guitarist and vocalist of the power trio - B. E. H. He then played many years as the bass player and vocalist in the powerful Connecticut blues band OPEY AND THE BLACKOUTS. His original song "Road To Hell" was entered in written form in a contest on poetry.com and won. It was featured in book of poetry.com winners called "Letters From The Soul". Currently he has a solo act and still plays live occasionally in select clubs. Lerto started and hosted an Open Jam night in a sober club in the Danbury area to give musicians who didn't want to be around alcohol or drugs a safe place to go and play and have some fun. The "Looking For Some Good Clean Fun" group. (Yes, named after the Allman Brothers song) Lerto has played many small venues (and a few larger ones) over the years from eastern Canada to central Florida with many stops in between. (Mostly in the CT & NY area) A seasoned 'Bluesman-Bassplayer' by trade, he also sings and plays other instruments with more heart probably than skill, but hopefully it is the "heart" that comes across and shines through it all in the end. His one true love is writing songs. "Words and Music together - Nothing is better" A new album is in the works and will be coming out soon.
