I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I seek out adventure...can be set in my ways, yet flexible...I don't always have a plan and flying by the seat of my pants seems to work for me...I love a good road trip. I am patient and caring but have a very little of either for people who are assholes...Fake people bore me. I absolutely love to meet new people and find the ways in which we connect--and we ALL connect in some way or another...I am loving the idea that we will soon have a new president and that President will be Barack Obama. I think everyone who can, should vote. If you don't, you have no right to bitch about the government. Ever. I love live music in small places and spicy foods of all nationalities...quirky people are very interesting to me and luckily, those kinds of people tend to seek me out...I am often mistaken for someone else--people swear they have met me before...I worked in non-profits for years, got burned out and now just do that kind of work for free...I love, love, love New Orleans and the wonderful people I met on my four volunteer journeys to the Louisiana Gulf Coast...I am a true Pisces...I'm Irish, French Canadian and Portuguese from the island of San Miguel, Azores...I come from a big family that has helped shape me into the pain in the ass I am today. I also thank them for my love of sarcasm and quick tongue. I did not sleep thru it (refer to video below).

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who....... talk to strangers...people who vote...grownups who play kickball...a good storyteller...happy drunks...fellow NOLA rebuilders...anyone and everyone

RIP Tim Russett

Just over a week ago, America lost an important voice. Tim Russet had a way about him that few in the political world could match. He was intelligent and fair, even when reeming a politician a new one...

N'Awlins Revisited and Broken Down on the Bayou

Here I sit, nearly home but not quite. I was welcomed back to the Northeast by a nor'easter--rain, sleet, snow, ice and bitter winds--and lots and lots of slow-moving traffic. That slow road home gave...
