Hailing just east of the metal/hardcore capital of Massachusettes, Vermont's quickly growing ICARIA have proven true to their roots. While also integrating signature death and thrash into their unique blend of european influenced metal.
Formed in Ludlow, Vermont in 2005, Icaria quickly entered and became familiarized within the small, but loving local metal scene. Having shared the stage with famed and neighboring bands alike. Such as My Bitter End, Cadaveryne, Deconformity, And then There Were None, Brick By Brick, XElement, The Love Connection, Downplay, Synthetic Stitches and more.
In early 2006, the band won over audiences with the release of their first full length album Departure From Frailty. Considered to be their melodic effort, DFF was written in 2005 with former second vocalist and good friend, Chris Garafola.
Icaria are in the process of writing a five-peice follow-up to their 2006 release. With a slew of new influences and a clearer direction, they have in every way evolved, and are ready to put it all on the table for 2007...
