Benjamin D. Ellis Jr. (born May 8, 1993- ) better know by his stage name Lil Soulja Da Menace is an American Rapper.Sign to Savage City Entertainment; Lil' Soulja Da Menace gets his stage name from his younger year as a kid but “Da Menace†tagged on as he got older.
His first mixtape, Who Dat Boy Iz was created 2007 and released 2008, followed by, Unleashing Tha Beast which released February 2009. Both of which will be his last until late 09. He is well known for his drawn-out ‘Hahhhhh’ as an adlib in his songs.
Getting Started: Lil Soulja Da Menace as a CEO, producer, and rapper has a big job on a big plate and just 15 years of age is doing it so well. Being a rapper Lil Soulja Da Menace didn’t want to be a solo artist so he wanted to rap with his half brother. They both started at the age of eight in 2000 but, didn’t have studio access. Later in 07 Lil Soulja Da Menace created a group Dem Soulja Boiz . Plus his own label Savage City Entertainment which was created early 07. Rapping for seven years with no studio T-Boi basically gave up on the group and, droped out in mid November of 07. Late November Lil Soulja downloaded a popular program, Mixcraft. With many attempts made Lil Soulja didn’t want to waste his time trying to home recording again due to failed attempts. Trying one more time Lil Soulja successfully record his first hook then, finishing with a hit mixtape single “Jigâ€. Including four other singles and, that was the start of a new dawn for him.
On December 6, 2007 Lil Soulja’s half brother decided to he wanted to rap again. So they united again and recorded 3 singles, Swerve, My Dougie, and Posted Up. With one song successfully a hit the group broke up for good just before the new year of 08. Back solo again Lil Soulja recorded 1 more single when his free trail on Sony Acid Music Studio 7 expiered. Basically gone for the beginning of 08 Lil Soulja lost many fans. In late May Lil Soulja was givein a recording program, another free trial, and Fl Studio’s 8 demo. Starting to make his own beats was unsuccessful but still practicing he made his first hit of the year Im Gettin’ Money which blasted him off for the summer. So Soulja was back in business.
In My Stunt Mode: On November 8, 2008, is when Lil Soulja Da Menace released his second hit song “In My Stunt Modeâ€, but with a small fan base the song didn’t reach out like he wanted it to. With a growing fan base he plans on re-releasing it late 09 and remixing it in 2010. The song was suppose to release October but the volume of the track was at work with Lil Soulja. The song finished it’s recording Sunday November 2, two days before the election. The song includes some word about the new President which was phrased “Obama’s on the 100 dollar bill cause we officialâ€.
Later: Soulja recording a a “Push†song “Go Ham On Em†(originally created by the American Rapper Gucci Mane) December 23 just to let the fans know that he wasn’t gone. Come toward January Lil Soulja started to get involved with the up-coming rapper Snap Man. He signed Snap Man and recorded the first ever single together “Tell Me Watcha Know†which hook and vocals came from the verse in “Go Ham On Emâ€, which was phrased “Tell Me Watcha Know About Me That Is Not Freshâ€. That was the hit single for January and was soon to be a national hit hopefully.
Dem Soulja Boiz: With so many failed attempts to reunite the group once before, another attempt put the group on the on the charts higher than ever before. Late Febuary was the time Snap Man and Lil Soulja Da Menace decided to reunite the group Dem Soulja Boiz. The group only does Crunk, Club, music and was getting ready to take over the digital era. But with so much high demand for solo music the two artist put the group on the shelf but is not gone the group does do there group music but not that often. But theres still the group DSB.
