So, I pretty much covered this over to your right. Enjoyify.
I love people. I want to meet you. I want to know what you think of my music. I want to smile and laugh with you. I want to have inside jokes with you. I want to memorize your smell. I want to be on you. I.... I want to be on you.
Oh it's true. It's damn true.
If Only It Worked This Way
Alter Bridge, Submersed, Exit The Ride, Still Naive, Faktion, Panic Value, Greater Grey, matchbox twenty, Lit, Def Leppard, Creed, Metallica, Edwin McCain, Vonray, Pay The Girl, Seven Mary Three, Staind, Blink 182, Aerosmith, Disturbed, Tenacious D, Evanescence, Stone Temple Pilots, Michelle Branch, Kid Rock, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Train, The Killers, Foo Fighters, Silvertide, Black Crowes, 30 Seconds to Mars, maybe a little Slipknot here and there, and as a guilty pleasure, Scott Stapp's new solo album... I know I'm leaving some out. Check my list of friends here on MySpace to find a ton more bands that flat out rock...
And while I'm usually a rock-and-roll child, I do enjoy some hip-hop/R&B now and then. Haven't really found anything in recent years that I really got into though. Haven't been all that into the hip-hop scene since the late 90's, the days of Biggie, Tupac, Wu-Tang, Lost Boyz, Dre/Snoop, early Outkast, stuff like that... anyone got any suggestions for me for some good newer stuff?
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (well... add ANYTHING with Jim Carrey in it), The Big Lebowski, The Crow, Tommy Boy, Shrek, Office Space, Wayne's World, Monsters Inc, Lion King series, Lord of the Rings, Casablanca, Passion of the Christ, Fight Club, Save The Last Dance, American Pie, Billy Madison, Blair Witch Project, Back to the Future, The Apple Dumpling Gang, Grumpy Old Men, anything from the View Askew guys, and yes, I still dig the Mighty Ducks!
Scrubs is the greatest show ever. I'm 163% in love with Elliot. Otherwise, this whole "working nights" thing doesn't allow me much TV time anymore. I record Raw, and Impact, and once in a while some ECW and Smackdown when I think of it. I love me some Family Guy, and whatever sweet reruns happen to be on in syndication. I prefer comedies, as you can see, but Ash is making me watch Dirty Sexy Money. And I kinda like it.
Most of the reading I've done in the last couple years has been done online, reading stories people post in the e-fed that I'm in. A friend turned me on to Chuck Palahniuk books a while back, and I read a few of those and they were really interesting -- perhaps I should get my hands on his other books and finish them? Or actually find another author to read books by? I'm more of a non-fiction reader than anything else most of the time (love the comedians' autobiographies and things like that), but if anyone has any suggestions, hook a brotha up!
It's so hard to define a hero. There are so many people out there that I look up to... respect... think the world of them. But hero? That's a heavy tag, to me. A hero is someone you want to base your life on, somebody you want to be like. I'm always picking up little things from different people, but as for just one person that I would actually want to be just like? Christ is the only one.
But a step down from the "hero" name, those people I respect and look up to... Mark Tremonti and the Alter Bridge Nation; Jim Carrey; Bill Cosby; and a few people I know in my own little personal world.
