We are slender caucasions!

About Me

February 28, 2005-TRIPLOCK officially says "fuck it, we're done!" Thanks to everyone who ever gave us a chance.TRIPLOCK is a hard rock quartet with some heavy metal influences. People describe us as Black Sabbath meets Stone Temple Pilots, but our music has more of a modern vocal approach. The thing that most distinguishes us from other bands is that our raw, guitar driven style doesn’t rely on samples and over production, TRIPLOCK’s backbone is musicianship and songwriting.Too much to drink.......a mind altering adventure........something you never expected. "I'll never drink again" your head in your lap "Will I ever come down?" Everybody has been there once or twice, maybe more. This substance induced anxiety and the paranoia it breeds has a name……….TRIPLOCKJoe Bacon (guitar), Bill Donovan (bass) and Rob Rappa (Drums) got together in 1999 and quickly grew into a great songwriting team. In 2001 they recruited vocalist Johnny Vee. Johnny’s natural gift for melody and spontaneous nature mixed well with the bands hammering rock style. The newly completed band cut their teeth playing live and recording a 3 song demo as Cree 8. They spent the following year playing rock clubs and preparing for their next studio project. The fiery quartet quickly caught the attention of fans, booking agents and local press outlets with the release of their EP “Turning Point”. The band offered a logo t-shirt and CD for 10 bucks at their shows and were met by eager new fans with a green Hamilton in hand. The recording is still available at cdbaby.com and in Newbury comics. The band quickly sold out of their initial printing of the EP but the band had some issues to work out. In August of 2003 the band was dismantled and the decision was made reform to write music with a stronger focus and a renewed enthusiasm for structure, dynamics and flow. The biggest change was that Johnny would not be part of this new adventure. The band mates pooled their playing and listening experience to create hard rock songs with distinct melody and driving rhythm that stays true to classic rock and the early days of metal. They also concentrated on re-shaping the tone of the band, finding that there is no digital substitute for the classic Marshall/Ampeg tube sound. They all missed the familiar dysfunction of their pseudo-family, so it was decided that the name TRIPLOCK would be carried over from a defunct project and Johnny would once again front the band. TRIPLOCK is now a stronger, smarter, better version of their former selves and is currently working on recording their debut CD "STATE OF MIND" independently at New Alliance East in Boston, MA. (Godsmack, Powerman 5000, Mighty Bosstones) "STATE OF MIND"is NOW available at Newbury Comics stores near you!!
