I'm not one for talking about myself, I think you should write this part for me James, since you have mastered this artform! 70's child. I'm a bit of a mix Swedish/Scottish/French/Egyptian/Greek and born in Hong Kong - but I like it that way. Travelled and lived abroad (Hong Kong, Peru, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Sweden), until I was about 15 when we moved to Scotland. Completed secondary school here and Uni. I now work for a ship management company and thoroughly enjoy it. I adore music, and love going to gigs. There's nothing like the buzz you get from seeing a band, live. I enjoy photography, in fact my family and friends get fed up with me because I take so many pictures!! I must admit, I cheat, I use the automatic zoom! I also like the 'old fashioned' film rather than digital.Fun ambitions: Learn how to ride a motorbike (which I will hopefully be doing soon with some of my friends); learn how to surf; go parasailing; learn how to ride a horse, managed to ride an elephant and a waterbuffalo so a horse should be no problem!; go scuba diving, I enjoyed snorkelling so next step, scuba diving!

One of the great joys for me of being on this site, apart from 'meeting' people from around the world, is the MUSIC and the very talented and lovely people behind the music! Discovering so many bands /singers / musicians/ artists.... or rather they've found me! I can't even begin to express how much music features in my life.... it's a great passion of mine. Music has the power to change the way you're feeling in an instant. Music can transport you to back to exciting times in your life, sad times, very emotional times. Music can make you want to jump for joy, make you want to dance, sing or just relax and let it flow over you and soothe you.What I wanted to do, and which I'm in the process of doing, with the permission of the bands involved (which I already have), is to write an introduction to each of the bands and to 'highlight' their music on my page. There are so many great bands/singers in my 'friends' list who have made an impression on me, from both a personal and professional point of view. The following three bands, producing very different music, have that 'special something' that you can't quite put your finger on. I only had to hear the first few notes of some of their tracks and I they 'captured me'.This is in no way disrespectful to all the other amazing first class singers/musicians that form a very large part of my 'myspace friends'.The bands that I will be featuring, once I finally get round to writing my introductions to them are............ LINE OF FIRE (Rock), WORK OF ART (Pop/Rock) and ONE DAY 40 (Country). They all feature in my 'top 24' and I have no reservations in recommending these bands to you. Not only do they produce great tracks, they're also very nice down to earth people, producing the kind of music that THEY love. Soooo, WATCH THIS SPACE!!!..
