About Me
By 2003, 7th Emp had already earned impressive production credentials, linking him to hip hop heavy-hitters like G-Unit. Now, 7th Emp strives for the staying power that's traditionally reserved for the best of the best in the music industry. "Longevity is everything to me," says 7th Emp. "I don't want to make beats that are temporary. I want to be here for years."
John Eugenio, musically recognized as 7th Emp, grew up in Long Island, NY. With the absence of a father figure, his mother and grandmother played an immense role in his upbringing. Though Emp credits his musical influence to the likes of Wu Tang’s producer RZA and Dr. Dre, the inspiration and driving force behind his creativity and talent is attributed to his family, especially his grandmother. "My grandmother is a huge influence in my life in terms of my creative side," says Emp.
At a very young age, Emp discovered a profound love for music. His love was redefined to a deep passion when he joined a band with his childhood friends at age 15. The band, Faded, was successful, reaching the airwaves of the 92.7 FM radio station. Three years later DJ Maniac took 7th Emp under his wings and taught him the fundamentals of music production at Thunder Traxx Studio. Emp realized a career in production would be his destiny. Soon after, Emp completed a certificate program in music engineering at a local college.
Armed with fierce passion and undeniable talent, Emp worked with
various local artists while finding a niche for himself in the music industry.
In 2003, his dreams began to manifest and became a reality. Emp's
music, “Salute You†found placement on the platinum G-Unit album, "Beg
For Mercy." "It's a hot record, but it's not even close to where I am and what I'm capable of now," Emp says.
Shortly after, several major management teams sought the rising
newcomer, including Sha Money formally of G-Unit Records. His music found
tremendous success in several major outlets. He produced a bulk of the
music heard on the " ALPO Documentary" soundtrack, with every hip hop track on the CD to his credit. Emp's music also pumped in the background of various episodes of the hit television show, "MTV Cribs."7th Emp also credits his manager, Shea, for his place in the industry. "Shea has really been there for me," Emp says. Equipped with drive, talent, and strong alliances, 7th Emp may very well be on his way to a successful musical career.
