About Polo
Highly skilled producer, Polo is characterized by his very traditional approach of music. Sound magician with eclectic tastes like r'n’b, soul, nu jazz, nu soul, jazz, zouk, makossa, hip-hop… he is a huge fan of the productions of Vikter Duplaix, Vidal Davis, James Poyser, Richard Bona, Henry Dikongué, Guy Nsangué, jimmy jam and Terry Lewis… just to name a few… This being, the man is detached on his own way of this silky image which was once attached to soul and r'n’b by including a groovy substance in his productions. This obsession for the smooth melodies pushed him to collaborate with several soul artists resulting from different backgrounds and with his childhood friend Jamal Finess as regards of hip-hop. This is how this mellow-man wishes to express himself, by introducing his personal touch within PapaJazz, leaving free course to various sonorities which live deep in his heart...
