With a sparkling effervescence and a magnetic charm, before she even sings a single note, Kimberly Cole is a captivating presence. When the beat drops, she rides the groove with a smoky, insinuating vocal freedom that fuses an undeniable pop sensibility to a sassy, edgy soulfulness.
Kimberly Cole is in the house.
Although it may be tempting to categorize her as a quintessential California girl with Orange County origins and a degree from UCLA, beneath her sunny surface Kim possesses a serious deep perspective, and reveals herself as a multi-disciplinary artist who sings, writes, and dances. Studying piano, voice, and dance since the age of four allowed her to use performance to define herself. “There’s never been a time when I wasn’t creating and expressing myself,†she says. “I wouldn’t feel alive.†Kim’s introduction to live performance and huge audiences came via her childhood career as a champion competitive artistic roller skater, a demanding sport where she learned how to tell a story with her body and enthrall arena-sized crowds by incorporating hip-hop and break dance into electrifying routines.
As an artist and songwriter, she channels the purest essence of her inner self and vows to always think just a little bit outside the box. She has had the opportunity to live in California as well as New York and surround herself with immensely talented and established producers, musicians, and writers that have become her tight production team and family. She has basically lived( literally) in the studio day in and day out singing, writing, arranging, and even sometimes helping wire equipment(with pictures to prove it) for herself and other artists as well. Writing for others has allowed her to explore so much creatively and has given her a chance to truly understand what it takes full circle.
Her experiences as a performer have led to soundtracks such as Sony Pictures “Brothers in Arms,†Maverick Records “County General,†principal lead in national spots such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Rubbermaid, Sony, Skechers, as well as performing with artists like Lenny Kravitz, Jessica Simpson, Will Smith, Mya, Sugar Ray, along side some of the best directors, producers, and choreographers in the business. She is also a spunky, full of energy on-camera host represented by The William Morris Agency interviewing celebrities, bands, and other recording artists for the X Music Network.
As an expressive vocalist who glows with a soulful savvy vibe, a lyricist and songwriter with a prolific commercial edge, and a stunning live performer who can charm immense audiences, Kimberly Cole is fueled by total passion and commitment. As an emerging artist, her horizons are limitless.
