Your aura shines Red!
What Color Is Your Aura?
brought to you by Quizilla
I appreciate people for who they are and I love that
everyone
you meet
has something different to bring to the table. I believe
that
everyone I meet will touch my life in a different way and
is worth
the time. I like funny people with a sense of humor,
especially about
themselves! I love witty banter, sarcasm, and spunk. I have a zest for life and like people who are just as enthusiatic about it. Turn Offs: fake people, people who don't appreciate what they
have, superficial standards, negativity, ignorance, and close mindedness. Turn Ons: Humor, a great
smile, itellegence, a positive attitute, ambition, football nuts, modesty, environmental and political consciousness. I am 110% liberal, but would not turn away from an intellegent conversation with someone with opposing views.

I like most all music, but Hip Hop and rap over all, especially to dance to...Black Eyed Peas, Missy Elliott, Snoop, Ludacris, Gwen Stefani, etc. And I will always love 2 Pac and old skool Too Short. I also really love The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and Neil Young, for everything their music says and stands for.....and plus it is just awesome music for just hangin out. My favorite chill music is Bob Marley. I also really love music that gets you in touch with your emotions and reminds you of memories; like Alicia Keys and John Legend. And I am not a country hater, but I understand those who don't like it. I only like a select few artists, like Shania Twain, Dixie Chicks, and Faith Hill, who have all really crossed over at one time or another Music Video: WHERE IS THE LOVE (by Black Eyed Peas)

I don't really have time to read a lot, other than studying for the GMAT...BUT there are books that I absolutely loved and would recommend- Little Girl Lost (Drew Berrymore's book), Memoires of a Geisha, Fast Food Nation, Millionaire Next Door (being wealthy, without being frivalous),The DaVinci Code, Underneath the Banner of Heaven (about those crazy paligamists in extreme Mormanism), and Girl Fighting (all about the psychology of how girls treat eachother)
Outside my family, my heroes include Jerry Rice, John Lennon, Martin Luther King, Albert Einstein, Olga Talamente (a freedom fighter of the 70s)....and so many more.... Within my family, first and foremost, is my parents, because they are both teachers; my mom in elementary school, and my dad in community college. Teachers have such a huge impact on lives, and they are both perfect at the different levels they teach. They also defeated the ugly word "divorce" and came together to be the best team of parents. They really kept us a family despite being divorced; made sure I always how much they loved me, and we are all stronger today for that effort. Together they are my rock on which I lean, and my best friends who I turn to for support. My Mom, the strongest woman in the world, taught me emotional strength, independance, and the ability to speak my mind without fear. She stands up for and defends what is right, helps the less fortunate, and participates in social causes all while enduring a lot of personal hardships. My Dad, has a brilliant mind, earned his PhD, and inspires me to be the best I can be in life. He has instilled values and work ethic in me that I use everyday. He is a full fledged Eagle Scout, making him "always prepared", and has made camping a normal part of our life. He is envolved in a lot of aspects of his community college, and cares about making a positive difference in the educational life of the students.Other heroes in my family are my grandma and grandpa(recently deceased). My Grandma went to college early, met my grandpa, graduated, waited for my grandpa to return from WWII, started a family, and then went back to school and became a University professor of political science. My grandpa joined the navy to support his family during the depression, faught in WWII, then went to Harvard Business School and became a very successful business man; investing in small businesses, dealing in patents, and heading up manufacturing companies in the tech industries. They are/were both highly active in their communities and always involved in politics. My grandma was on the board of directors that built the first science center in Cleveland, while my grandpa sat on the board of the Art/Music Institute. Their involvement in making a difference has and will always inspire me to be involved.
