Songs that rip your heart out...but all nice-like.

About Me

There is still hope for this world...
"I'm straight outta Compton...and by Compton, I mean, not Compton."
Actually, where Jeff comes from is St Johnsbury, VT, which is a far cry from Compton...or any other city in general. Jeff started teaching himself guitar shortly after graduating high school and quickly found himself more comfortable playing acoustic guitars rather than plugging in.
Later on he settled in Provo, Utah and through the encouragement of a friend named The Dan and a fellow singer/songwriter who goes by the name of Tim Henry, Jeff began to branch out, expanding his 4-song catalogue to over an album's worth of music.
Throughout this whole period of time Jeff's musical tastes, as well as the sounds of his individual songs, have only become more varried, but he still finds himself going back to his roots and listening to the more percussive acoustic artists, finding enjoyment, inspiration and challenge in that medium of playing and composition. Although he wont ever say his playing is anywhere in the same league as some of his heros, like Dave Matthews and John Mayer, he does compare his genre of music to their's on emotional and sentimental levels.
Simply put, Jeff's music is about the worship of women. He makes that point evident in one of his songs called "Little Room" where he weaves the tale of a sleepless night next to his dreaming muse, saying, "...it's quiet down here/and so I name every breath you've shared/but slumber still wont come to me/because of what I see, what's within my reach..."
It's here inside these songs that you realize that Jeff writes about the small moments, the moments we sometimes wrongly view as the mundane and trivial...the same snapshots in time we long for when they unfortunately dissapear. Jeff just wants to help you remember them more often.
