About Me

| View | Add FavoriteOk I guess I have neglected this section long enough. Hmmm. Here goes.Once long ago atop a craggy peak in Appalachia, there was a mighty hunter who screamed at the heavens...blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda yadda thunder lightning earth moving etc.....and I came into existence. lolOk. Originally from Northern Kentucky (that unclaimed part of the state near Cincinnati for all those in London), but was moved down here by my family at the wee age of five cos my dad got a job in Manchester of all places. Yikes. Anyway, grew up here. Moved away at 17 to go to college at UK. Graduated despite the beer trying to hold me down. Took a year off. Went to law school at Chase College of Law at NKU (back to Northern KY ..go figure). Their I learned the proper use of sentence fragments while typing stuff about myself on the internet....oh and some law stuff. Graduated despite the beer trying to hold me down (is this a theme?) Passed the bar...no literally I passed a bar...then I took the Bar exam and passed....despite...the beer...trying....to...hold...me down. (sing a long!)THEN as logic would dictate, I went to work as.....a nightclub manager! Makes sense huh? Well here goes that story. Actually before I passed the bar exam, I was already working as a nightclub manager at a place called Banana Joe's in Downtown Cincinnati. See after law school there was this about 6 month gap before the bar exam and I was broke. So in order to make money I went to work for my best friend who had always been involved in the nightclub industry having owned a couple himself. So after I passed the bar, I pretty much already had a job so I kept doing it (well except the night I actually learned I had passed the Bar and passed out in the bar..while on shift...sigh). So thus began my life as a nightclub manager. The job took me all over the country, including but not limited to clubs in Cincinnati, Dayton, Knoxville, Nashville, Memphis, Albuquerque NM, Houston TX (where I started running a country nightclub yikes), Lafayette LA, Denver CO, and finally to Las Vegas NV where I was the General Manager of Coyote Ugly in the NY NY Casino. (phew!) So 10 years of life got crammed into about 3 and I got tired of the lack of stability and sheer insanity and moved back to the wonderful cultural mecca that is London KY. (thanks mom and dad lol) Then after a 2 year rearranging of my brain, I decided to follow up on PLAN B...being a lawyer (which I had never really stopped being but figured I might as well get paid for being one). So there you have it in a nutshell. The life journey to this point. That might give you some insight into me. It might not. Shrug.

Television:

Will start with FX, the network with the most badass shows: The Shield; Rescue Me; Thief; Nip/Tuck. LOST, Cold Case, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Grey's Anatomy, 24 (JACK BAUER OWNS YOU ALL!), Prison Break, Medium, American Idol (guilty pleasure, so fuck off), House, Invasion, Survivor, Big Brother, Without A Trace, Battlestar Galactica (the new one pwns!).

Books:

Have been an avid book reader for a while and a list of what I have read and liked would be too extensive to put here. Although I gravitated towards the fantasy novel, I do like some other stuff. Some highlights then: THE HOBBIT and THE LORD OF THE RINGS by JRR Tolkien (changed my life, shaped my future); DUNE by Frank Herbert (absolutely brilliant); INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE by Anne Rice (she should have stuck with Louis); The Harry Potter novels (yeah I'm a dork but they are fucking good); The Belgariad and Mallorean by David Eddings; The Chronicle of Narnia by CS Lewis (BAKERS DOZEN!); Shakespeare (just throwing him in here for lack of a PLAYS section lol....but Hamlet is amazing.)As you can probably tell from looking at this profile...I also like comic books. Get over it. To me comics and graphic novels are just as much contemporary literature as anything else. Started out being a Marvel man and a huge X-men geek ( if you didn't know that by my nick), with a passing side interest in DC Comics. Always knew the basics about DC heroes, like most people up on pop culture and comics. Have always liked Batman and Green Lantern, but couldn't recite history on them like I could on the Xmen. But recently, thanks in great part to Bruce Timm and Paul Dini and their simply brilliant animated series, I have a renewed interest in all things DC Universe. If you really start digging into them, the myriad of characters and stories present in both universes is simply staggering, and infinitely interesting. 'Nuff said. The artwork is what really sells me on comics, and if you can marry amazing artwork with a good story as well....my hat's off to you. I am especially impressed with the art of Jim Lee. Another I liked alot was Todd McFarlane, who in my opinion has put out the best action figures ever. Period.

Heroes:

Hmmmmm...the cat in this video. That fucking kid deserved it lol.

NOW IN COLOR!

Finally, I got around to adding a little life to this MySpace page.  I know it's a little basic, but it's still a work in progress.  I can't spend all my time on the fucking computer.
