Dr Lorenz - DJ Bio
In the mid 90's Dr.Lorenz became involved with the North NJ/NYC punk, hardcore, and indie scene beginning by working/promoting shows and also playing in some minor bands/projects.
While attending Seton Hall University he joined 89.5 WSOU immediately following the "format change" (Jan 2002) and served as DJ, newscaster, asst. promotions director, and street team head. While on the air, he embraced different musical genres not very popular on the metal and hardcore dominated station such as indie, retro/revival, and industrial. In late 2003 Dr Lorenz co created and cohosted a specialty show entitled "femme fatales" which focused on bands/artists of all genres with female vocalists.
After graduating in 2004 Dr Lorenz has worked throughout the music industry in related jobs and internships (excess db ent., spindrift records, DJ- lo fi ent., WFMU) and began dj'ing in clubs in late 2005. Originally going under the dj name "dj dc" Dr. Lorenz chose his new dj name after the Bella Lugosi's character from the classic film "the corpse vanishes".
Since late 2005, Dr. Lorenz has consistently been dj-ing at clubs, concerts, private parties, weddings, street fairs, and on the radio and other events such as:

Update 2008-2009
I currently am only dj'ing once or twice a month due to medical issues. I intern and volunteer part time at WFMU and occasionally promote nights/shows/venues/events/etc. I sell vintage clothing/records. I am available for private parties, weddings, and other events (street fairs, classic car shows, etc) and provides/uses my own equipment so i'm capable of dj'ing where there is no "sound system."
