L’ultima decade di luglio ed i primi giorni di agosto il Lago Trasimeno e le colline che lo circondano sono avvolte dall’atmosfera gioiosa e coinvolgente del Festival Trasimeno Blues , una delle più importanti manifestazioni del genere in Italia. Nella sua formula itinerante, Trasimeno Blues approda in tutte le località del territorio, facendo tappa negli affascinanti   borghi medievali e nei suggestivi scorci naturalistici che caratterizzano il paesaggio del Trasimeno. Undici giorni consecutivi, una ventina di diversi palcoscenici, oltre 30 concerti dal tramonto all’alba, quasi tutti ad ingresso gratuito, ed una serie di eventi collaterali quali mostre, cene-concerto e laboratori musicali. Un viaggio musicale nel cuore verde d’Italia dove si danno appuntamento ogni anno artisti di assoluto rilievo nazionale ed internazionale. Negli scorsi anni vi hanno preso parte, tra gli altri, Johnny Winter, Maceo Parker, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Sugar Blue, Brian Auger, Alex Britti, Cheryl Porter, Shemekia Copeland, Eugenio Finardi, Gegé Telesforo, Fairport Convention, The James Taylor Quartet, Carl Palmer, Them, Ten Years After, Charlie Musselwhite, Ana Popovic. Le calde note del Blues, unite alla visita delle bellezze artistiche e naturalistiche, rendono indimenticabili le giornate trascorse al Trasimeno, in uno spirito di gioia, pace ed armonia.

Different localities around the Trasimeno Lake

Trasimeno Blues Festival is one of the most important of its kind in Italy. The Festival is performed in different evocative localities around the Trasimeno Lake, near the city of Perugia in Umbria Region, the so called green hearth of Italy. Every evening for eleven days, the festival hosts the best international and national artists and well known musicians. Just to remember some of them: Johnny Winter, Maceo Parker, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Sugar Blue, Brian Auger, Alex Britti, Cheryl Porter, Shemekia Copeland, Eugenio Finardi, Gegé Telesforo, Fairport Convention, The James Taylor Quartet, Carl Palmer, Them, Ten Years After, Charlie Musselwhite, Ana Popovic. All concerts are free except the main event and the concerts taking place around midnight in some private music clubs that many times became appassionate jam sessions till the morning. The warm notes of Blues, together with visits to the places of artistic and natural beauty that the area has to offer, make for an unforgettable time, with a spirit of joy, peace and harmony.
