I'm a 26-year-old bilingual nursing student who's sick, tired, and fed-up of pursuing all the "R/Ts", "NSA fun", "blow-and-go", and the "wham-bam-thank-you-Sam" adventures out there. I don't want any more temporary physical high from all the pimps, players, and ballers who fill up these pages; instead, I want the longer lasting emotional and social fulfillment that only genuine and sincere **FRIENDS** can provide. And by FRIENDS, I'm referring to individuals who'd very much prefer to know my personality and my life rather than what I can do inside the bedroom or what lays underneath my clothes. These FRIENDS are also people who I'd be able to confide in, relate to, have meaningful conversations with, laugh at the silliest things with, or support in times of loss and turmoil. Since I'm seeing a wonderful guy whom I deeply care for right now, I no longer see the need to expand the circle between my gluteus maximus - from now on, I'm looking to expand my circle of TRUE friends instead. With that said and done, there's no need to post my stats here at all. To get things started, I immigrated here to the United States with my two older sisters back in 1992. I haven't been back there ever since, although I'd really like to visit my relatives there in the near future when I save up enough money and get some vacation time from work. I was raised by my loving relatives in Wisconsin since my mom didn't want my siblings and I to grow up in New York. I started working when I was only 14. After high school, I served on full-time active duty with the U.S. Army as a combat medic. Following my 4-year stint, including a 6-month tour in Iraq, I enrolled in a 4-year collaborative nursing program between my hometown and UWM. At the same time, I've been working as a full-time CNA at a county-operated skilled nursing facility as well as a part-time waiter at a locally-owned family restaurant. Being the spoiled but hard-working brat that I am, I currently reside in my own 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo. When I'm not working or attending school, I enjoy a variety of hobbies and activities. I like to play RPGs, action/adventure, and fighting games on my PlayStation 2. I'm looking to upgrade to a PS3 in the near future. I also like to watch movies (either on DVD or in theaters) which range from horror and action to romance and comedy. I'm not much of a cable junkie since I consider many shows nowadays to be a bunch of crap, although I love "Heroes", "Xena: Warrior Princess", and the like. On the computer, I like to chat on Yahoo! Instant Messenger, watch videos on YouTube, look up game strategies on GameFaqs, and connect with others on MySpace and Facebook. I also like to host as well as attend dinner parties if it gets too costly to eat out.Outside my home, I like to dine out with friends and relatives at ethnic restaurants. My motto is the more exotic the cuisine, the better. So far, I've sampled dishes from Ethiopia, Nigeria, Nepal, Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Mexico, and the Philippines. I'm looking to try out Brazilian and Korean very soon. I also like to converse with friends or relax with my laptop over a nice hot cup of coffee, latte, or tea (my current favorite being the "Darjeeling" from India) either at Starbucks or at a locally-owned coffee shop. On a nice warm summer day, I like to host picnics with my friends and relatives at the park, ride my 12-speed bike around town, play a competitive and intense game of volleyball, toss around a frisbee, go swimming in the Dells, go on the front-row seats in all the rides at Six Flags, or take a hike in the woods. On a wild night out in town, I like to tear up the dance floor and dance the night away. I love my Malibu and pineapple juice, but I love to shake my ass to techno or hip-hop even more. ^_^My friends, family, and acquaintances have described me as being outgoing, friendly, funny, energetic, sociable, and generous. I can be a loyal and dependable ally who'll go out of my way to help out a friend in need yet at the same time, if I'm double-crossed or betrayed, I can be one's worst nightmare who'll stop literally at nothing to get even. I'm not typing this to scare away potential friends, but I've learned throughout the past 26 years of my life to stop taking shit from other people. I'm not saying that one shouldn't be kind and warm-hearted to others, but when they're being taken advantage of or exploited, then they should definitely take a stand. Three significant values which I highly admire in another individual are honesty, respect, and trust. I firmly believe that these don't come with birthright but are rather earned over time. These values also prove one's friendship to me.So if you've managed to stay awake and read my "novella" this far, please don't be afraid to drop me a line or ask me questions. I always like to break the ice and get to know a new person. Heck, it beats hooking up with a nameless stranger and leaving you empty inside any day.

My Interests

Fighting, action/adventure, & RPG video games, thrift shopping, dinner parties, ethnic dining, conversing or using my laptop over tea/coffee/latte, clubbing & bar-hopping, watching movies on DVD, in theaters, or on-line, networking on MySpace & Facebook, watching videos on YouTube, riding front-row seats at Six Flags, swimming at Wisconsin Dells water park, road trips, biking or working out while listening to my i-Pod, etc.

I'd like to meet:

Xena, Warrior Princess - She kicks major ass whether in the past or in the present.

Jackie Chan - He has proven time after time again that kung fu "B" flicks aren't all cheesy or lame.

Oprah Winfrey - Maybe she can pay for my tuition as well as give me a brand new sports car. Heh heh. I'd have to come up with a very believable sad story though.

Ryan Reynolds - I can tell him how HOT he is and possibly lure him over to the dark side. Mwa ha ha!

Christina Aguilera - I consider her to be the hands-down BEST singer in the whole wide world. She inspired me to take singing seriously even if I'm just doing karaoke or when I'm in the shower.

Janet DamitaJo Jackson - Her out-of-this-world and phenomenal performances in music videos like "If" and "Pleasure Principle" are what inspired me to be the avid and enthusiastic hip-hop dancer that I am now. She helped me realize that dancing isn't all about competition but actually a passion in life. Thanks, girl!

What Good Does Helping Do?

In the prehistoric age of the cavemen, people didn't really have much problems in their everyday lives.  They didn't seek a purpose in their lives since they knew that they only lived to survive ...
