About Me

I like pubs, especially ones that aren't just one big room. I like clubs, but not the people in them who think it's ok to feel you up on the dancefloor without so much as a hello first. I don't like people who smoke on dancefloors either, it's one of the most impractical places to light up ever.Dry martini and lemonade, Boddingtons, lemon sorbet, roast potatos, friendly vikings, poetry, elbow, and so on and so forth rock my world. I also like orangutans. I dont like annoying child actors, when people over use exclaimation marks, sitting near couples in the cinema or unexpectedly hearing a song I really like when noone else is around who appreciates the suprise.I'm studying History and Linguistics at Manchester University. My flat has been taken over by a dictatorial snail named steve. My brother says I'm deluded and one of my "flatmates" is actually a mop that I insist is alive (he's wrong).I talk too much. My Interests

Music:

Adam Williams is my Music God. He always sends me lots of rock on music. I also steal a lot of my dad's cd's because he has really good taste and always buys the albums I want for himself. Once on the boat to Amsterdam I met a dj who'd never even heard of the kinks (gasp). I'm unhealthily obsessed with my elbow albums but lots of stuff rocks my socks :)

Movies:

Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Big Fish, Napoleon Dynamite, Muppets Treasure Island, La Vita e Bella is quite good, Amelie etc

Television:

Black Books, Coupling, Scrubs, the Hollyoaks omnibus when I'm hungover and in bed (my dad brings me bacon sandwiches :D). I have no tv at university - I can hardly remember what's on anymore, it's very tragic. errm Red Dwarf, Blackadder and whatnot.

Books:

Mr Landen has no Brain - Stephen Walker, Join Me - Danny Wallace, Boiling a Frog - Christopher Brookmyre, Day of the Triffids - John Wyndham, Journey to the Centre of the Earth - Jules Verne, Round Ireland with a Fridge - Tony Hawks, Of Mice and Men - John Steinbeck, Popcorn - Ben Elton, The Tell-tale Heart - Edgar Allen Poe. All sorts Basically.

Heroes:

One of my Heroes is my friend Charlotte, she's amazing and her other identity as Legwarmer Girl the superhero means she can help a lot of people. If you ever look in the extra compartment behind her wardrobe (where artwork disappears to) you will find the biggest array of legwarmers known to man, and that's including the collection of FAME the musical. I bet you're impressed. Well you should be.

Big Questions

I was watching rain trail down the window as it shined in the reflection of a streetlight. Tree branches were creakingly bending to a groaning wind. Outside was dark, cold and wet. The warmth of my&nb...
