A prairie boy at heart, Glenn grew up as part of musical family in southwest Manitoba, drawing early inspiration from British invasion bands, Neil Young, Bruce Cockburn, Dire Straits, and many other sources. For more than 20 years, he has been supporting and collaborating with folk, roots, and blues artists in Winnipeg, Ottawa, and Regina, his current home. As a performing songwriter, his current influences include Steve Earle, John Hiatt, John Lennon, Sheryl Crowe, The Tragically Hip, Bill Bourne, Ben Sures, Allen Dobb, Jay Semko, and anything by Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor.
Inspired by human experiences and the troubled state of our world, Sutter's recent efforts explore the value of friends and family, and the importance of treading lightly on the Earth. He’s not out to change the world with his music, and he doesn’t care to preach with it either. Through a growing catalogue of beautifully crafted, often personal songs, he just wants to help people think about Nature, relationships, and other things that matter.
"All You Need" is his first album.
