Bulletproof aka Teflon!

Known As: Bulletproof “Teflon”Hometown: Shreveport, Louisiana“For those who think Hip Hop or Rap is over, get focused or get familiar. A new generation of rap has arrived, and he goes by the name of Bulletproof “Teflon”! Justin Jerrell Marshall from Shreveport, Louisiana grew up listening to “down south” music of the 90’s like Cash Money and UGK. Bulletproof “Teflon” began writing and rapping at the age of 12. As he recalls, it was after his cousin’s murder that he began to express this feelings in words and music. From there it blossomed. Teflon rapped wherever he had an audience; many times this was at school: in the hallway, between classes, and even in class. Wherever there was a “green light” Bullet would spit lyrics. By high school he had the name “Bullet” because he killed everyone he battled. As he grew and his personal style emerged, the name “Bulletproof ‘Teflon’” took hold. This rapper is untouchable. In the summer of 2005 Bulletproof “Teflon” was recognized and signed by 5 Entertainment. 5 Entertainment, located in Shreveport, Louisiana, was making a lot of noise with artists such as Hurricane, Billy Broadway, Willie, and Lil’ Lo. These artists performed throughout the Louisiana, Tennessee, California, Oklahoma, Texas, and in Cancun, Mexico. Now, fast forward two years: 5 Entertainment joins forces with RapALot: same hustle, but new grind. Because of his delivery style and real content, he realized a lot of people were watching him, including RapALot owner, J. Prince. Teflon realized he was a “Hot Topic”; and thus this single, rocking the South, was born. When he was ready for a hot club single, he went to Phunk Dawg, who produced such hits as “Pass Me Some Water”, “Ratchet”, and “Ay Bay Bay”. The song gives ode to legends Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick while paying tribute to people who are doing big things, making a name for themselves, and becoming a “hot topic”. When asked about his goal in music, Bulletproof “Teflon” explains “It’s to do me. I have a versatile style, a different swagger, with some real content.” He plans to be a future rap mogul and to be successful in the industry. From the block to the booth the main focus is to represent his city in a strong way and create a city wide movement…NO HATERS ALLOWED!!!
