I am here for Networking

About Me

Yeah, about me---I had a long career as a bass player which unfortunately has taken a back seat to homeownership and the demands of an idiot-run company which doesn't respect its employees. I'm also a sportswriter at times, doing an on-line weekly newsletter for Western NY sports fans both regionally and across the country--interested in receiving it? Contact me--it's very off-the-wall but I do have a following. Unfortunately I don't get paid for this but it keeps my writing skills sharp. I also worked with various concert promoters in the 80s, first as media coordinator & then I became a silent partner. Bad move -- I lost thousands but gained experience. I'd try it again with the right staff, as we had too many idiots sticking their fingers into the pot back then. Also, I'm proud of my homebrewed beer and awesome home-made hot sauces. My music interests include classic rock and the blues. My favorite sports teams are the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins and San Jose Sharks. I love to travel (Arizona is my favorite state to visit), cook creatively, and read ----too many people do not read anymore. I still love to go out and see live music, and get a chance to jam with various bands onstage every now and then. I also fill in on bass for a friend in the band "Rabbit Foot" every now and then. I love playing with those guys! I had some great bands in the past -- CLAYTON, out of Cortland, NY in the late 70's (my former guitarist & main vocalist now plays with the FAB FAUX!)and the Buffalo-area bands ARLANZA, WINTERWOOD (backing the great songwriter GEORGE DORAN), BLUE GIRAFFE, and HOAGY & THE BLUES BOMBERS. The Winterwood days were some of the best times, and it would be a great thing to be able to play with George again. Of all the songwriters I've played with, and there are some great ones (Frank Agnello, Danny Holmes, Paul Grasso), George is undeniably the best. His lyrics are just so honest, and he is a man of great integrity, a truly gifted musician, indeed! Animal rights are very important to me--people who abuse animals deserve to be severely punished---animals trust us--dogs and cats especially. They give so much to you and only want a little bit of food and attention in return. To this day I still grieve over the loss of my dear cat Poots--we have 3 other cats now, but he was the best cat that ever lived--I will miss him forever. I encourage everyone to care for animals. You will be amazed at how much love they return, and how they can bring you peace and cheer when you are down. I'm always up for meeting new people--you can never have enough friends. But I don't want to hear from people who are going to send me porno or other garbage. I enjoy good music, good beer, and good times with good friends.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Eric Clapton, the greatest living guitarist (Jimi, of course, was THE MAN!); Paul McCartney, one of the greatest bassists in rock and roll; Neil Young, because he's Neil Young. Tom Hanks, to thank him for all he's done to help World War II vets, President Obama, Steve Winwood, Dave Mason, Geddy Lee, Toni Rowland, and so many other of the great players across this planet!

Soon We’ll Be Free

To quote the lines from Neil Young's "Round & Round" from his great album "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere"  ---  "It won't be long, it won't be long!"
