Well, I'm just a bit ADD when it comes to who I am.
In my "day job", I am a State Farm agent in a small town in Ohio called Hartville. When I take those tests that tell you what you should do for a living, the results always say that I should work with people and finances. So, from that perspective, my job is a good fit. And, I like it.
However, if State Farm was my life, rather than my way of making a living, it would be pretty meaningless and shallow.
My passions lie elsewhere. State Farm allows me to be a good husband and Dad, but it also allows me the freedom to do some really fun stuff.
Like sing. I sing a lot at my church, The Chapel. We have an awesome music program there, with great leaders and players and singers. I've gotten to do much more there musically than I ever thought I would get to do.
I also am involved with voiceover work, acting and commercial print through The Talent Group in Cleveland, Ohio. I've always had an interest in voiceover work, particularly, and I'm represented by the great folks at The Talent Group.
Here are three demos of my voiceover work. There is a condensed one-minute demo, a slightly longer two-minute demo, and a full-blown-bore-you-to-tears demo.
Through my beautiful wife, Julie, I've also gotten a bit involved in various aspects of the Christian Music industry, particularly with some great Christian Songwriters. I run the discussion board for a group called "Write About Jesus." Through those great people, I've gotten to know some really great people in the Christian Music business.
Which brings me to one more interest, and that would be computers and the internet. Besides running the "Write About Jesus" discussion board, I also programmed my wife's website (www.juliehufstetler.com) along with her MySpace and Shoutlife pages.
I also like fixing cars and old tractors. And mowing my lawn. And building stuff.
Did I mention that I'm just a little ADD when it comes to who I am?
