Antistarr is what i am, Onus is my second personality, Adam is my name. I've been watching it all from afar, nurturing my experience, living my life and perfecting my talent. Now i know whats missing, and i've stepped right up. Everybody come with me... The story of Antistarr is a mad deep one, that started with a multi-coloured sheep looking at the world from the most difficult angle from day one. Its been a long, hard, sleepless and heart-breakin journey on a paranoid, jealous and self destructive road marked by many sharp mind controlled snipers just to get here, from where i was, and here i am. Life and all the madness and chaos it so easily detonates in our faces throughout has been the biggest fight, but at the same time the biggest influence. No matter the emotion, music finds a way to fit, and the more important it becomes. Maybe too soon for a young man's head, i fed on an early sense of independence and individuality that served well against friends and enemies, able to be the protector and the protected, lover and the fighter, and then in good time was able, and understood the need inside to be more, and more importantly not to ignore it but to listen. After that, with all the fundamentals worked out, an untouchable belief shed my skin, and after a few years experimenting, finding a fresh, original, free and from the soul style of vibe and sound to match my personality, my attitude professionalized, and making some deep real mates along the rocky road, i broke away from the narrow path and became Antistarr.Not manufactured, not written for, and very real.How easy is it to get it all in one, to stand on a spot and shell out your soul to a man with blinding white teeth and a vaccum with a filter set only for cash cow's of the weakest breed, only then to own you, and your creative imagination until you're wrung dry and a laughing stock? The answer is, very easy. The easiest. But real musicians will never do that.If you have it all done and said for you, and still call yourself a musician at heart, wheres your own development? As Nitin Sawhney once said, "wealthy kids in America shoot each other. Poor kids in Soweto can't stop smiling. So who's developed?".
