About Me

Whats up every body! I'm Ryan (some people call me Nelly because my last name is Nelson). I'm from Sacramento and still think of it as home because its the only place that I get to see all of my old friends at the same time. Since 2005 I have lived in beautiful San Luis Obispo. I transferred from Cuesta to Cal Poly in Fall 2006 and have been getting my History major on ever since. When I transferred I was also accepted into an Officer program for the Marine Corps so I'm in Quantico Virginia for 6 weeks out of the summer. I plan on graduating in December 2008 and getting my commission as a 2nd Lt. at the same time. I enjoy many intellectual pleasures (history, anthropology, science, evolution, philosophy, meaning of life and debating religion) but reading is starting to annoy me because its about 75% of my life! I also enjoy the lighter side of life. I go biking and running on a regular basis and love the outdoors. I also like bouldering but don't get to do it as much as I use to because of all the school work I have now. I like seeing things that most people tend to over look like the moon and stars, or the way that sun light and clouds reflect of puddles after a rainstorm, or the branches in a tree. I really like music and hearing new bands (I'm partial to innovative and weird stuff). If I could I would ware a tuxedo t-shirt all the time because it says "I want to be formal, but I'm hear to party too."
