The Second Official Moly Page - More Free Music

About Me

Don't be fooled by the name, this page is the second official Moly site (this is not my solo work, I don't do solo work, my work is always for Moly). This has been set up so we can put up more free music and also on this site will be brand new unreleased songs such as the two on this page 'The Music Box' and 'A Warzone'. The other two songs on this page are from the new (fourth) LP 'Post Crisis Reflection Agenda' which is soon to be released to anyone who sends us their address. For the Official biography read the myspace.com/molymusic site. Here's a brief biography. Moly was formed in June 1999 by the two main songwriters Mark and Neil Sharkey. First self released 4 track EP 'Kif' in March 2000 featuring the original lineup which included a female vocalist (Maria Cooper). Second self released EP 'Divertimento' in October 2000 which was the first all instrumental lineup. The Third self released EP 'Involution' in March 2001 which was the most complete sounding of all 3 so far and also gained the interest of Tenor Vossa Records who signed the band for a 3 LP deal. In January 2002 Moly recorded their fourth EP and first LP for Tenor Vossa. The EP 'Expressing Scorn Contempt Or Disgrace' aka 'The Opprobrious EP' was released in May and the debut LP 'Your Life Is In Danger' in September 2002. The fith EP (and second for Tenor Vossa) 'It Rained, But We Cheered' followed in 2003 and in September 2004 came the second LP 'moly' which featured a heavily altered front cover image not approved by the band. After five years of exploring post rock with guitars, there had to come new sounds and influences and in 2006 came the final Tenor Vossa relesase, the third LP 'Hello Shut Up' which was the most expansive sounding LP so far using lots of new sounds and more vocals than before to create some truly stunning songs that really sounded like no one else. And it is in this vain that Moly have just finished recording their fourth and soon to be self released LP 'Post Crisis Reflection Agenda' which itslef will be followed up with an EP and most of the fith LP has also been recorded.
