+++ 1999 - 2002 +++
The Cold Void Project have seen the light at the end of 2002 from the Frostbane's ashes. Frostbane born in the winter of 1999 by the sick minds of Necrodaemon and Hypnos, the two founding members. They started to compose some material never released, but after 4 months decided to find some new members to complete the line up and transform Frostbane from a studio project to a "real" band. They found their brothers in Horus Rigor Mortis (Masche, Theatron), L.O.A. (Masche, Thee Maldoror Kollective, Holokausto Cineclub) and Arioch (Disarmonia Mundi, 5 Star Grave). They started to rehears and wrote down new material. After some months Arioch decided to leave the band to sing with the Italian death metal band Disarmonia Mundi, and Frostbane tried to find out a new singer. Fortunately their friend The Necronamtar (Theatron) decided to join the band, and the line up was complete again. After some months, they went in studio to record their first MCD entitled "Frostbane's Gate".
+++ 2003 - 2005 +++
Shortly, after the release of "Frtostbane's Gate", Hypnos and Necrodaemon decided to change some things and Cold Void rise. Maelstrom came few week later and Bloodskull Impaler (My Rage, Disarmonia Mundi) join the crew in March 2003 as singer. In June 2003 the band entered in studio to records some new tracks. The works finished in the beginning of December 2003. The new material was released as a split CD with Tod titled "Black Metal Armageddon". In the meanville other line up changes happened: The Necronamtar re-joined the band replacing Bloodskull Impaler at the vocals and Kobal joined the band as second guitar player. With this line up the band played some important shows like the ones with Deflehed and Dark Funeral. After some gigs, Hypnos decided to leave the band and The Necronamtar started to play also the lead guitar. The band entered in the studio to record five new tracks for promotional use only. During the beginning of 2005 Mika Luttinen from Impaled Nazarene joined the band in studio and recorded vocals for 2 brand new songs. Some shows were played, than Kobal decided to leave the band due personal problems.
+++ 2006 - 2007 +++
The band played some gigs in North italy, and dedicated a lot of time writing new material for the first full lenght album. A new guitar played were found in Rage, but nothing really important happend, except a gig in with mighty Cannibal Corpse.
+++ 2008 - 2009 +++
At the beginning of 2008 the band entered in studio again, re-recording part of the 5 tracks coming from the 2005 promo and recording 3 brand new song. After 1 month in studio between recordin session, mixing and mastering, the first full lenght was finally complete. Necrodaemon started to work out on the concept of the artwork. The new album, titled "To The Path Of Sin" will be released in January 2009. Stay tuned for more updates!
