Born in Genova 1976 start the study of classical music at 10 years old with the F.Pucciarelli's music school and the teaching of R.Gnemmi maestro also of the Genoa conservatori N.Paganini , with the school orquestra wins the first prize as best "Orchestra barocca" in Stresa and he performed in the ramadan festival de Bluois Fr 1987. Few years later joint also the city orquestra of Rapallo were he plays as leading flute in the marching band. At the age of 17 he knows the italian flamenco guitarist Fabrizio Uccelli and he performed with the band Fandango in bars and festivals like Borgo d'Autore in Rapallo and 'round liguria.At the age of 18 after the first approach with the flamenco improvvisation he decided to study jazz in Milan encouraged by his pianist friend Lorenzo Magnaghi (now composer). Follows the classes of the Civica scuola di jazz with ex Berklee student Giulio Visibelli,composer Fabio Jeger and he playis with the Enrico Intra's Big Band in the Teatro Piccolo and Palzzina Liberty(alto flute).Plays break in jazz festival and he performed also as pianist composer in the band of Cecilia Shailly.In the 1999 After six mounths of busking in the london subway he come back in italy were as privatist he got his degree as maestro di solfeggio in Genoa's conservatory N. Paganini with 10/10. He decided then to explore Australia charmed by the sound of the didgereedoo and the thecnique of the circular breething spending a whole year for mastering this thecnique. In the 2001 prforms with the young Maria Pierantoni Giua.In 2002 start the band Nuevo Horizonte with guitarist Paolo Uccelli(Fabrizio younger brother) and Luana Cerezo (singer) playing bossa nova. After a hole summertime of concerts the Duo Uccelli-Pergo are invited to a small tour in Mexico with Rudy Biancardi. Mauro performed with grait number of bands in mexico starting from Queretaro city where he performed in the best bars, clubs and private events paying also tenor saxophone and singing.plays in Don quintin band, with Mark Houser (alto sax).In the 2003 he goes for a trip in the u.s.a...performing in the Elephant Room in Austin; Cafe brazil, the dragon bar, and the gazeebo in New Orleans; then in New York performing with Daniel Shorik in the Creole cafe' and in Cleopatra Needles.2004 Mooved to San Miguel de Allende and he plays with Hopalon jazz quartet in mama mia, Pilaseca, Tyler Mitchell (Chicago's double bass player), Gabriel Hernandez (cuban jazz pianist), Ken bassman (candian guitarist) in Jalapa veracrus, Billy Pierce jazz band, Matt Marvuglio,Oscr Stagnaro and the ritmic setion of Paquito de Rivera and all the young mexican talent: Gerry Lopez, Mario Patron, Panchito,Carlos Maldonado. Plays also wih the gipsy jazz duo Gil and Carta. With guitarist Billy White sart a Maitreya ensamble that explores de sonority of India, also P.Uccelli is on sitar and Victor Monerrubio on drums. WIth this band hey performed in Theatre Angela Peralta and many private parties. In the same time Mauro plays with Junta flamenca performing in a smalla theatre of S.Miguel. And with Pro art flamenco dancing school in Queretaro. He knows then grait flamenco dancer Antonio Rodriguez "el chupete"and he got convinced to go to Spain.In 2006 he come back to Italy and he performe in the festival Vulcanology with Astronoughty quartet, then he mooved to Spain (Sevilla)and start working with "chupete's" brother and Inma "la carbonera" in Triana's flamenco bar La Madruga', he worked also with flamenco pop Makarines. He plays for private parties in Rocio and he has a flamenco-jazz project with double bass player Miguel Vargas. He's invited to play flute in Juana Amaya's dancing classes. He performs with Rocio Marquez, LAura de los Angeles, ALBAHAJA and he's the first flute player in the cuadro flamenco of "La Carboneria" (one of the most popular flamenco's show in Sevilla).
