About Me

In 2004, my musical merry-go-round brought me to The Sonic Revolution. TSR released three CDs from 2004-2006. The most recent, "Power Failure" is available via www.cdbaby.com. Look for TSR here at www.myspace.com/thesonicrevolution.

Via reviews I've gotten at garageband.com and elsewhere, my vocal style has been compared to no less than the following: Sully Erna, James Hetfield, Phil Anselmo, Geoff Tate, Sebastian Bach, Jon Bon Jovi (yup), Layne Staley, Steve Perry, Ray Gillen, Axl Rose...and probably a few others I've forgotten. Apparently, I'm versatile is what they're saying. I figure this is a good thing.

Prior to TSR, I sang for (in backwards order): Hot Tin Roof, Talkbox, Deep Sleep, Paper Tiger, and Arioch, not including the many cover and tribute bands I've been in. I am now singing for two tribue bands: Live Evil (Dio-era Black Sabbath) and Rage For Order (Queensryche).

Besides the music, I also write fiction. So far I've collected a nice little pile of rejection slips from most of the major magazines, which hang in front of my desk to inspire and taunt me simultaneously.

My wife and I recently celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary and have one beautiful little girl, Arianna Elizabeth.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The five people I'd love to invite to dinner: Michael Moorcock, Bill Maher, Barack Obama, Jon Stewart, and Stephen Colbert.

My Blog

livejournal

For anyone who cares, I have a new "blog" site: nparisi.livejournal.com.  I'll be trying to post on a much more regular basis than I have here. Nick.

God was WHERE?!

One of the many things I fail to understand about religion is what I call the "selectivity of belief."  One of the things this "selectivity" does is allow the believer to give God credit for anyt...

A Short Note, for Ms. Barbara Walters

Thank you, Barbara Walters, for granting atheists thirty seconds of air time during your two-hour primetime special on Heaven.  We appreciate it.  While some sniveling, smirking,...
