Most of my interests have to do with music... I love going to concerts and hearing live bands. One of the best things in the world to do. I love to karaoke and have fun with my friends. Most of all I love to laugh.
I would have loved to meet John Lennon. What an amazing man. Otherwise, I'd like to meet people who make me laugh, people who are genuine, people who love to learn about the world around them.... people like me, people like you...:) Oh, and excuse me while I am shallow- Johnny Depp, Vince Vaughn, Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell, Johnny Depp, Matthew McConaughey, and Johnny Depp. ;) And Gwen Stefani, because I think she rocks. And I'd go gay for her. But don't tell my mom... shhhh.
How can one live without music? Something about a live band just gets to me. I love Bottle of Justus, Blackout, Bloc Party, Lovehammers, Gomez, Keane, Lemonheads, My Morning Jacket, Kill Hannah, R.E.M., U2, Panic Channel, Gwen Stefani, No Doubt, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Weezer, Franz Ferdinand, the Killers, Modest Mouse, OK Go, Silversun Pickups, Kasabian, Audioslave, Sublime, 311... but then I also love Velvet Revolver, Motley Crue, the Scorpions, Guns and Roses, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, AC/DC, Ozzy, Def Leppard, Poison, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Tom Petty, the Black Crowes, the list goes on and on and on. Led Zeppelin, the Who, the Clash, the Kinks... INXS, Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, the Smiths, the Cure, the Catherine Wheel, NIN.... Live, Radiohead, Candlebox, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Smashing Pumpkins, Veruca Salt, Hole... the Beatles, Rolling Stones, the Monkees... I didn't even mention all the 80s music I love or the 70s funk stuff (George Clinton, P-Funk, Gap Band...)The best part is I've gotten to see most of them LIVE!!!! :)
I love comedies... usually if I watch a movie, it's cause I want to laugh. I occasionally enjoy a good drama or action film but I have to be in the mood for it. If it stars Johnny Depp, I'm there. And I love old Jimmy Stewart movies.
Don't really watch much TV to be honest... mostly on for background noise at night. If I do turn it on, it's Nick at Nite or TV Land. I love cheesy old sitcoms. Lately, I've been watching Monk and CSI:... I used to like American Idol but swear I'm never watching it again.
I love literature... kind of what I do. Especially love Oscar Wilde, Julian Barnes, Kate Chopin-- the list is long. I am more into 19th and 20th century British and American Lit than any other genre. I have been known to crack open some theory books too... Foucault, Wimsatt, Barthes. I've been into Dan Brown's books lately. Loved Angels and Demons... DaVinci Code was good too. Now I'm working on Deception Point.
