THIS IS PROFILE FOR SUPPORTING INFERNUS, IT IS NOT PERSONAL PROFILE! I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYONE WITH FAKE GORGOROTH, GAAHL, KING, TELOCH, KVITRAFN, FROST, HELLHAMMER, ICE DALE, SYKELIG AND EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTS FAKE GORGOROTH AMONG FRIENDS IN PROFILE!!!
HERE WILL BE POSTED EVERY BULLETIN ABOUT SITUATION WITHIN GORGOROTH :
BULLETIN FROM TORMENTOR : If you wanna be kept updated on this infamous name struggle, be sure to click ADD on Infernus' myspace page. This to be sure you receive Infernus' statements : Concerning Infernus and Gorgoroth, again. Today I have been denied access to the official myspace profile of Gorgoroth. I am working on it as we speak, but I do not know how long it takes for the myspace customer support team to deal with this. I have registrated a new statement from one or two of my former co-workers, and I will soon come with some more info on how I regard the situation and how it has developed, where I - without intending becoming too personal - will briefly present my plan for the continuation of Gorgoroth, possibly also with reference to some legal papers translated into English and with a photocopy of a document proving kings attempt to registrate the Gorgoroth name as his personal belonging behind my back in the beginning of last month. I will also elaborate upon the form in which the break-up happened, and show it was also my will to continue doing the upcoming tour, then deal with the legal issues and the break-up later on, in an more apropriate way. For the more slowminded:Both parts want to continue under the name Gorgoroth. As the founder and only original member of the band I claim the legal rights to the name. I am fully aware of that I can be a difficult person to work with, but it is my sincere opinion that to the degree this was a problem for the other two guys they should have withdrawn from the band and started something new, on their own. My intention is to continue for another 15 years! Again, I feel sorry for the friends, co-workers and fans all over the world that now have to withness such a happening taking place. Please, repost this to who it might concern! Infernus, 24.10.2007 [email protected]
Regarding the Gorgoroth situation, October 31st 2007 I will here present you a press statement which is my intention to be the last in the line of short open letters to the media, where I have informed fans, friends and co-workers on the somewhat strange situation that occurred some one and a half week ago and its progression until now. First I will open with a short summary, for those of you who did not get it all from the beginning. Late friday afternoon, October 19th, I got to know that my former band members had made the decision that we should split the band and that their intentions were to continue - without me - under the name and logo of Gorgoroth. That people get tired of each other or have reasons for not getting along after a quite long and at times pretty close partnership I find fully natural and understandable. It goes without saying that you learn to know both eachother's positive and negative sides. I will nevertheless not participate in any open discussion on the nature or personalities of anyone involved, that is well below my standards. Neither will I do anything to defend myself against whatever accusations people might come up with in a situation like this. I have a strong belief that people are able to judge themselves, based on the chronology of how things happened, and from the actions that have already been taken. When being told that we should split ways, I immediately proposed that we should do the european tour as planned, then let lawyers do the legal discussions for us, settling the question of ownership of the band's name and logo. As its founding member, building the trademark in the formative years, and with a clear intention on keeping the pact with the devil I made in Sunnfjord, 1992, I would of course not agree on giving away the name I rightfully own to our 3rd vocalist and 6th or 7th (!) bass player. For whatever reasons they might have. The vocalist has been considering quitting the band numerous times. The other actually quit last year due to difficulties combining playing in a clear cut Satanic metal band as Gorgoroth with the fact that he is full time employed as a primary school teacher. It was my intention to do the tour and then, after the tour, come to terms with the legal problems as smoothly and professionally as possible. I am sorry for the european audience which at the moment must witness this embarrassing circus it has become, and I am sorry for the Russians and Ukrainians we were supposed to have done a mini tour for from 23rd to 28th of January. Late Sunday evening, October 21st, I received a text message from the vocalist stating that the November tour would go on without me, and that they had consulted legal advice on the matter. And that next day they would release a press statement on the issue. To keep things straight, I will focus on legal matters here. It took me ten minutes to get confirmed that what they did was of a highly illicit character. According to Norwegian law of March 3rd, nr. 4. 1961, § 2 & 7 it is. It is also difficult for me to see how they thought it was possible to achieve what they wanted by doing what they did. Next morning I contacted attorney Egil Horstad from Vogt & Wiig. In a letter to their legal representantive he presents the case and parts of the paragraphs, which is now translated into English and available to whoever's interested at my personal myspace page, blog section. (www.myspace.com/160310525) It also refers to one of metal history's worst cases of backstabbing and greed to date. The same monday I got confirmation that the bass player already before we went on the September tour to South America - without informing me - applied for copyright of the name and the logo. It seems like he actually believed it would be as easy as that to get it transferred to himself as his own personal belonging ad infinitum! It is available to the reader as https://dbsearch.patentstyret.no/Vis_patent.aspx?idappl=2007 10859&domene=V&version=1&tyapplication (https://dbsearch.patentstyret.no/ - "varemerke" - look for "gorgoroth) Regarding the upcoming european tour, which it seems that they intend to do in the name of Gorgoroth: I have personally been in touch with Henk at Vain Productions offering him a good deal if he would delay it, until I have a new line up ready. And my lawyer has explained to him the possible legal consequenses of him making the wrong choice in this situation. I am convinced they could be able to start up a new and rather good band on their own, and he should rather do a separate tour for that band, whatever else they would choose to call it. Now for my future plans: I will devote myself 99% to the present situation and the mess that occurred to help getting clarity in it and to take whatever legal action towards whoever is exploiting the name and reputation of the band. This includes some certain third parties, as there seems to be a few rotten apples among them. This is a necessity for me at the time being, so that I am sure who I can trust when starting to restructure and plan my return. I am afraid this might have to take the time it needs. I promise for Satan that I will come back, and I am already now at an initial stage consulting possible future partners, including a new line-up for studio and live. So far both ex-members and other more or less sinister musicians from Norway and abroad have shown interest. Choosing the right partners will be difficult, as I have high demands for these. I will update the world on this when the time is right. First things first. When the legal matters are properly settled, I will implode for a while letting media be an arena for other ones. During restructuring I will finish off the writing of new material for the next studio album - Quantos Possund Ad Satanitatem Trahunt - to be released through Regain Records. In between 50 and 70% of the music has already been written (some of it even prerecorded) as goes for two or three lyrics. For the rebirth of the live band it is considered necessary to get this done first, as it is my intention to erase as much as possible of the traces of the last years' periods output. The new live band will focus on old material and brand new and shall in one form or another by Satan last for another 15 years! That is about what I have to say at the moment. I will only accept doing a few select interviews and these should be requested via Jarne Brauns at Regain Records. I will use the opportunity to not only thank the faithful and dedicated fans around the world for this seemingly endless support I have received the last week, but also Joe Hollow, Satannichen, Frank Watkins and the Obituary guys for letting me use their networks and capacities in this time when I do not have access to my own website or even the band's myspace. Thank you a thousand times and praise hail Satan!Infernus, Gorgoroth, October 31st 2007,www.myspace.com/160310525,[email protected]
Regain Records 2007-12-13
Gorgoroth statement December 13th 2007
Regain Records has finally decided how to go further with the Gorgoroth matter.
Regain Records will continue the co-operation with the bands original member Infernus with a new line-up. This new line-up will be announced by Infernus through the new official website www.gorgoroth... Regain Records recognizes Infernus as the rightful owner of the bands name, logo and trademark, and is prepared to take any legal steps necessary to prevent any 3rd part from exploiting it, artistically and commercially. A long time commitment between Infernus and Regain Records has been signed and Gorgoroths next album entitled " Quantos Possund Ad Satanitatem Trahunt" - as well as the follow-up - will be released on Regain Records.

Taken from the Gorgoroth official website : New line-up!Infernus has now chosen to present his new line-up. This new line-up consists of dedicated and serious musicians with healthy attitudes and personalities, musicians whom he has had the honour of being acquainted with for some years now. Infernus has high hopes and ambitions for his future collaboration with these musicians. Tomas Asklund (Dissection) and Frank Watkins (Obituary) should need no further introductions. The work on "Quantos Possund ad Satanitatem Trahunt" will continue according to schedule, and rehearsals will begin in Stockholm in the summer of 2008. In the pre-production stage, Infernus will enlist the help of, among others, Tormentor, who wrote the title tracks of both the "Destroyer" and "Incipit Satan" albums. As with the latest album, and the forthcoming albums, "Quantos Possund ad Satanitatem Trahunt" will be released by Regain Records.
As previously stated, the legal proceedings which have already been instituted will continue as planned. Infernus and Regain Records have decided to appeal the decision of the Norwegian Patent Office's 1st department, and this appeal will be independently handled by the 2nd department of the Patent Office. It is important to point out that as long as this matter is under appeal, the current ownership decision is not in any way final. Infernus and Regain are also ready to take the artists formerly known as "The Force Gorgoroth" to court. Seeing as how the 1st department's decision is being appealed, and that the trademark ownership is as yet unresolved, it would be prudent of 3rd parties like record labels, booking agencies and online social networking websites to wait the situation out until a final decision has been reached - this to avoid any future litigations from Infernus and Regain Records.
Infernus' former colleagues did not accept the offer that was made on March 4, 2008. His attorney will therefore, on March 14, 2008, appeal the Norwegian Patent Office's initial decision, and also commence legal proceedings in order to have the matter handled by the courts. If everything goes as planned the case could go before the courts in June this year. Infernus is considering not only taking the band name conflict before the courts, but also the matter of certain allegations and untruths propagated about him.
Taken from http://www.gorgoroth.info/menu.html, posted 11th of March,2008 : The past couple of months Infernus has been busy travelling abroad to meet with his new band members as well as a new producer, and he has also been working on the forthcoming Grieghallen live album, to be released on Regain Records. Some aspects of this live album will probably come as a surprise to both the fans and others. The material for Infernus' next Gorgoroth album, "Quantos Possund ad Satanitatem Trahunt", is finished, and what remains now is doing the arrangements and starting rehearsing the material with Asklund and Watkins. Rehearsals will begin as scheduled in May 2008 in Monolith Studio, Sweden. The aim is to record the drums in this studio in August, 2008, and then use the Laboratório 6 Studio in Brazil (Ophiolatry/Fabio Sperandio) for the recording of all guitars and bass a few months later.
Taken from the Gorgoroth official website :
In the past few months there have been several news stories concerning the dispute between Infernus and his former bassist and vocalist. Contrary to what the opposition might say, the trademark ownership matters are still as undecided as they were six months ago, and will not be resolved until a verdict is made in a to-be-announced trial in Oslo, Norway. Also, due to disagreements between Regain Records and the aforementioned former bassist and vocalist, a temporary injunction has been issued, suspending the distribution of the 'True Norwegian Black Metal - Live in Grieghallen' album until the matter can be handled in a trial in Malmö, Sweden.
All this has understandably led to confusion among the fans, and the focus seems to have drifted away from the musical aspects. It is therefore time to get back on track and release this little update on the progress of the next album, Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt:
The past few months have been spent rehearsing the new material in Tomas Asklund's Monolith Studio outside of Stockholm. A pre-recording has been made, containing drums, guitars and bass. At the moment, Infernus is working on the arrangements, with assistance from former Gorgoroth member Tormentor. When all the songs have been arranged into a satisfactory form, the drums will be recorded in Monolith Studio. Infernus will then record the guitars in the Laboratório 6 studio in Brazil, with engineering help from Fabio Zperandio (Ophiolatry), and Frank Watkins will record the bass lines. No vocalist has been added to the line-up as of the present time, but there are several strong candidates being considered by Infernus. So far, everything has gone according to schedule, and the album is tentatively scheduled for a spring/summer 2009 release by Regain Records. An autumn 2009 tour is in the planning stages.
Infernus, September 17th 2008
I am proud to announce that former Gorgoroth guitarist Tormentor has accepted my offer to rejoin the band in its new incarnation. As of today, Tormentor has the status of permanent member in the band, together with myself, Tomas Asklund and Frank Watkins.
December 1st 2008, Gorgoroth Trial Date Set!
Infernus filed a lawsuit against King ov Hell in September this year, on the basis of King ov Hell (the 6th bass player in Gorgoroth's history) going behind Infernus' back in September 2007, secretly applying for trademark protection of the bandname and logo of Gorgoroth, which Infernus started using in 1992. The court case has now finally been scheduled. It will take place in Oslo, Norway, in the last week of January 2009. As soon as the court has made its decision, further information will be found at www. gorgoroth. info .
It is also with great pleasure that it can be announced that Infernus' new Gorgoroth line-up has been completed. The identity of the vocalist, which may not come as a surprise to some, will be revealed in a few days. Hail Satan!
December 4th, (taken from Gorgoroth official website) Gorgoroth line up-is complete!
Infernus' Gorgoroth line-up is now complete, and the new vocalist is none other than the legendary Pest - back at last after an 11 year hiatus from the band. The 2008 incarnation of Gorgoroth thus consists of Pest (vocals), Infernus (guitars), Tormentor (guitars), Frank Watkins (bass) and Tomas Asklund (drums).
As for the work on the new album, "Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt", it is going ahead more or less as scheduled, but due to the upcoming trial in Oslo in January 2009, the guitar recordings will be slightly postponed. The album will contain eight tracks of Infernus' signature aural evil, and will be released in 2009 on Regain Records. Fear the return!
Veredict reached on Gorgoroth trademark situation
(Taken from www.gorgoroth.info)
Oslo City District Court has today delivered a verdict on the main question in the Gorgoroth trademark case, which took place at the end of January 2009. The court has decided that King ov Hell's trademark registration # 243365 of the band name Gorgoroth is NOT valid and shall therefore be deleted. The court states that King ov Hell and Gaahl excluded themselves from the band Gorgoroth when they tried to fire Infernus in October 2007. The court further states that Infernus cannot be excluded from Gorgoroth, unless he himself decides to quit. Infernus is very pleased, but not surprised, by this verdict. The remaining issues concerning financial matters and such are yet to be decided upon.

After a two-year absence from the live arena, Gorgoroth will once again perform their Satanic rituals on stage on August 29, 2009. Gorgoroth will then headline the last night of the 10th anniversary Hole in the Sky Metal Festival in Bergen, Norway, with none other than US doom legends Pentagram as co-headliners! The setlist will include classic songs from the legendary "Pentagram" album - not played live for 12 years - and perhaps also brand new material from the upcoming album, "Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt". If and when any other Gorgoroth live appearances this summer are confirmed, they will be made public here on the official website. The recording of Gorgoroth's new studio album "Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt" is progressing according to schedule, with a tentative October 2009 release date. (30.6.2009)TRUE NORWEGIAN BLACK METAL - ALBUM UPDATE
Gorgoroth has recently spent time at Threeman Recordings in Stockholm with Nico Elgstrand (Entombed), where, among other things, Pest has successfully replaced the vocals for the 'True Norwegian Black Metal' album. Infernus has already consulted legal representatives regarding this album, and is prepared to support Regain Records in the label's ongoing legal conflict with two of the band's ex-members, if any such support is needed. Also, there is now an official Gorgoroth page on Facebook; this page can be found at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Gorgoroth/113596514401http://w ww.nrk.no/nyheter/distrikt/hordaland/1.6676381

The ninth Gorgoroth album, "Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt", has now been completed. The album was recorded in Tomas Asklund's Monolith Studio, and features Infernus on guitars, Frank Watkins on bass, Pest on vocals and Tomas Asklund on drums. Since Infernus wrote all the music for the album and extensive rehearsals and a pre-recording had also been made before second guitarist Tormentor re-joined the band last year, it was decided that it would be more convenient for Infernus to record all the guitars on the album. The album is produced by Infernus and co-produced/engineered by Tomas Asklund. It will be mastered at Cutting Room Studios in Stockholm in July. It will be released in Europe by Regain Records on October 21st and in the US on November 11th.
