We will make everything METAL...

About Me

Hmmm, how does one construct an "About Me" paragraph without sounding self centered? lol. Well I guess I could start by saying that I have a rather large interest in music. Although I am not one of the lucky ones blessed with a musical talent, I make it my hobby to try and stay current on my favorite bands and the metal scene in general. In fact, I am considering going to school for Entertainment Management so I can work in the business end of the industry. I also try to play keyboard, but that whole lack of musical talent thing really gets in the way sometime lol.
Those who know me know that Mudvayne is my all time favorite band. I idolize those guys for so many reasons, I won't even get into it on here. I have seen them live six time, five of those times in the span of a year. I've also met Chad and Greg three times, Ryan twice and Matt once. I even have a mudvayne tattoo to show my devotion.
Some other interests include art and art history, advertising, photogrpahy and travel. I went to Italy to study art history for 6 weeks and have caught a travel bug that is far too expensive to cure. As for advertising, that is the program I am currently attending Sheridan College for.
I have a fascination with vampires and dark imagery, and find it inspiring and beautiful in some strange way. This may have something to do with my obsession over corsets and anything with corsetting.
I have a thrist for knowledge can never be quentched, I want to know a little bit about everything. Whether I'm watching television or reading a magazine or engaging in simple conversation I'm always trying to store away more information. This especially applies to music knowledge as I find myself on blabbermouth.net every day and I also collect Revolver magazines.
Did I mention I'm kind of a nerd? Not really in the traditional "I wear glasses and suspenders and love science" kind of a way (although I do wear glasses). I'm nerdy in a "I love bad jokes, tell pointless stories and like getting good grades" kind of a way. What can I say, I'm an unconventional kind of a girl.
Well I guess that's a start, take it or leave it. Thanks to those of you who actually got through it. Oh, I almost forgot........
WASTE O2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Interests

Mudvayne, Music, Travel, Art, Metal shows

I'd like to meet:

Kevin Smith & Jason Mewes
The boys in Lamb of God
Matt McDonough of Mudvayne .. ..

Music:

I guess you could say that I'm a big fan of hard rock/ metal. I love that the musicians actually have to practice their instrument in order to be good rather than just selecting an appropriate beat from some computerized electornic system. When I'm not listening to this genre, I'll probably be relaxing with some country or jazz/blues or some classic rock. My favorite band of all time is and will always be Mudvayne. Here are some other bands/musicians that I like in no particular order: SKULL DESTROYER APOCALYPSE,Tributary, Dimorian, Slipknot, Metallica, Bloodsimple, Lamb of God, Trivium, Children of Bodom, DevilDriver, In Flames, Stone Sour, Pantera, HIM, Thine Eyes Bleed, Atreyu, Threat Signal, Into Eternity, No Warning, The Agony Scene, Godsmack, Chimaira, Led Zeppelin, Arch Enemy, Foo Fighters, Soilwork, Breaking Benjamin, Soulfly, Burn in Silence, Dragonforce, Through the Eyes of the Dead, Dethklok, Mastodon, American Head Charge, Killswitch Engage, Blue Rodeo, Blink 182, Supertramp, Guns n' Roses, Avenged Sevenfold, Sarah Maclaughlin, Keith Urban, 36 CrazyFists, 10 Years, Philosopher Kings and the list goes on and will continue to expand until the day I die.

Movies:

Anything by Kevin Smith, but especially Mallrats, Dogma and Clerks Uncencored. Metal: A headbanger's journey, Airheads, Anchorman, Dodgeball, Old School, The Wedding Singer, The Little Mermaid...etc.

Television:

Dawson's Creek (RIP), America's Next Top Model, Family Guy, South Park, Conan O'Brien, Home Movies Metalocalypse and Heroes. I'm also a freak for cooking and game shows such as "Who want to be a millionaire?" and "The Price is Right".

Books:

Sound of the Beast: The complete headbanging history of heavy metal, Salems' Lot and Misery by Stephen King, Happiness by Will Ferguson

Heroes:

Jessie, my boyfriend and love of my life. He is the most uniquely fascinating person I've ever met. Shawna, my best friend and hetero life mate. She's always there for me even though she's far away. And of course, Mudvayne and Kevin Smith. No explainations needed. Oh, and Angela Gossow for representing female metalheads with such strength and agression!..

My Blog

Kinda cool I guess...

I made the top five list of most metal girls on www.thegauntlet.com's Metal or Not section. I have a score of 7.03 at the moment. Man, I'll call anything an achievement I guess lol. Still, it is kinda...
