In August 2004, Guru Guru had its debut concert at the Zorba Festival in the Heart of the Israeli Desert. Ever since then, Guru Guru has been doing music. Guru Guru creates, performs and records world music, Hebrew music, roots music, ethnic music, sacred music, humorous music, reggae music, and soul music. In 2007, Guru Guru released its first Album - "Lev Tahor - Sacred Music" - a project that is dedicated to original rootsy Hebrew Chant music (now available on line: www.guruguru.co.il). In 2008, Guru Guru intends to release its second album, 12 tracks of funky stuff that is aimed at revealing other various mysterious aspects of the phenomena that is called Guru Guru. In the mean time, Guru Guru continues to perform around Israel, and is planning to expand its tour to other regions of the world sometime in the near future. The story of Guru Guru goes far beyond the 3 years of its official existence. For one thing, Guru Guru is not only a band, but is also a family - since one founding member happens to be the uncle of another founding member, and yet another founding member happens to be the wife of the nephew of the uncle. In addition to this, Guru Guru is not only a band and a family, but also an international family, since it has roots in the Middle East, in New York City, in Europe, in Asia, in India and in the Middle East.
