Deep Closed were born in early 2003 from former members of Fondo Chiuso (Francesco, Jacopo and Mattia, formed in 1999) and the vocalist Vito, who found the band on a music store's announcement. Between the 3 musicians and the singer immediately came out an unbelievable groove, so they decided to play only Rage Against the Machine songs (I actually don't remember why, we just did it). A few months later the band played in a local rock festival, where they received a big public response. Everything seemed to be cool, but not everyone was happy... Unfortunately the bass player decided to leave the band, not anymore interested in its style, so the others called another guy to substitute him... but it wasn't the same thing, the groove got lost and a few concerts later the guitar player left the band; after many auditions the band finally split. In the following 4 years the singer moved out to London and then Rome and the old band Fondo Chiuso reunited and reached a new dimension with a new singer. Deep Closed seemed to be only something from the past, a good experience to remember when the four friends hung out together... but fate is unpredictable... At the beginning of August 2007 Mattia gives a call to Vito: " hey mate, there's a rock contest in Siena at the end of the month... our singer is out of town, why don't you join us?" Even if 4 years passed since his last performance Vito decides to accept straight away, thinking that this was his last chance to continue with music... and the day before the concert he flew to Siena and the band rehearsed Bombtrack, Bulls on Parade and Killing in the Name.... something happened, they were all feeling strange, it was like something magic came out of the tiny room where they played: they had fun, THAT fun they didn't experience since that beloved performance 4 years before... The day after they climb on stage and a wall of sound blasts public and jury, who decides they are the winners! Destiny spoke, they were meant to play together and rock, rock and rock again... This is the BEGINNING of Deep Closed story, the rest remains to be written, a demo tape is under construction and shows are on plan, so stay tuned! ROCK N RAGE!!!----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------- I Deep Closed nascono nel 2003 a Siena da una fusione dei Fondo Chiuso (trio composto da Francesco, Jacopo e Mattia, formatisi nel 1999) e il cantante Vito, entrato nella band in risposta ad un annuncio in un negozio di strumenti. Tra i 3 musicisti e il cantante nasce immediatamente un'intesa senza precedenti, e quasi per caso decidono di fare solo pezzi dei Rage Against The Machine. Dopo qualche tempo il gruppo viene chiamato a suonare in un festival di band emergenti, dove ne escono protagonisti, ricevendo un grande responso di pubblico. Purtroppo pochi mesi dopo il bassista decide di lasciare la band, non più interessato dal genere, alchè gli altri reclutano un altro bassista per sostituirlo... il groove non è più lo stesso però, qualcosa si è incrinato, e dopo qualche concerto non all'altezza della loro prima memorabile performance, anche il chitarrista decide di andarsene; dopo estenuanti ricerche cantante e batterista decidono di sciogliere la band, ormai rassegnati. Passano 4 anni, durante i quali il cantante si trasferisce per lavoro a Londra ed in seguito a Roma e i vecchi Fondo Chiuso si riuniscono e trovano nuova vita grazie alla ritrovata voglia di suonare come un tempo e ad una nuova cantante. I Deep Closed sembrano ormai un ricordo lontano, una bella esperienza da ricordare con piacere e un pizzico di nostalgia, quando il destino ci mette il suo inesorabile zampino... All'inizio dell'agosto 2007 Vito, ormai abbandonata la musica per dedicarsi totalmente al suo lavoro, riceve una telefonata da Mattia... "senti, ci sarebbe un concorso tra band a Siena, noi non possiamo partecipare come Fondo Chiuso perchè la nostra cantante è in ferie... perchè non vieni tu?" ...erano 4 anni che non provavano tutti insieme, e soprattutto che Vito non cantava, ma nonostante ciò non se lo fa ripetere due volte ed accetta subito. Il giorno prima del concerto i 4 si ritrovano in sala prove e provano Bombtrack, Bulls on parade e Killing in the name... dopo la prova si sentono tutti un po' strani, un po' increduli dalla ritrovata magia che mancava da tanto, troppo tempo, ma felici di essersi ritrovati ancora una volta. Il giorno seguente salgono sul palco e un muro di suono spettina pubblico e giuria, che li piazza dritti al primo posto! Il destino aveva parlato, i Deep Closed dovevano ritornare insieme e suonare, suonare e ancora suonare... dopo 15 giorni si esibiscono in un altro concerto dove spopolano ancora una volta, registrano un demo ed ora sono pronti per spaccare sui palchi di tutta Italia, uniti come non mai!
