About Me

Aldo Lehman of Balance Brothers Productions in Los Angeles began as a Cal Poly Civil Engineering student. During his studies there, he also was a member of the Cal Poly Orchestra. Whether it be Hip-Hop, Classical, Jazz, or R&B, he was always involved in music. In 2001, Lehman became co-producer of a group called “Blackout”, which consisted of members; Ford "Intellekt Conduit”, Childress “Royal", and producing partner, Appetite. The Balance Brothers (Appetite and Aldo) had previously been producing beats for both Ford's and Childress's albums when they decided to form their own group, under Balance Brothers Productions. For five years Lehman had been making beats and running a home studio. If you needed to make music, Lehman was the one to go to. By combining sound equipment with his partner Appetite, they began meshing their skills and developed their own style and progression with the beats. "I have always been into music”, said Lehman. “I got to San Luis Obispo and I wanted to start making my own stuff”. I just like a beat that has feeling. I have been more into using samples that are moving and have motion to them. Appetite has showed me a lot and when we produce together something magical happens.” Even though Aldo and Appetite are in two different states, they still stay connected and await the return of the Balance Brothers Music. In 2007 , he enrolled at SAE Sound Engineering School in Hollywood California in order to further his knowledge of sound and perfect his craft at Engineering. Aldo then took on an interning position at Private Island recording studio in LA. His sound engineering skills continued to excel and he became an extremely in demand Engineer. Before he even graduated Lehman was working with the Rza's female Artist Tash Mahogany and also in the private studio of Hip Hop Producer L.T. Hutton.Lehman is more directed towards developing his particular style so that people will recognize the beats and tracks he produces by their sound. "I'm finally discovering my own sound, I have progressed a lot," Lehman said. “I also find it important that the talent of the MC matches that of the producer. Producers are a rare thing, especially here. People seek us out... I hear some of the music from Artists that approach me. I'm not gonna wanna say 'that's mine' if I don't like it".
