Buffalo, NY has been breeding ground some of the worlds greatest and most renoun Death Metal acts such as the likes of Cannibal Corpse and Malevolent Creation. This paved the way for the thriving years of the metal scene during the early 90's in Buffalo, many legendary acts traveled to the then hotbed of metal activity and many great local bands were born. Amongst these were Baphomet, whose certain members went on to join Stemm. Infestation, Eternal Torment who also had members of the future existing Stemm. There were many other metal bands like Divination, Cyst, Carnal Dissection, Immortal Terror and Obscurity. But one of the strangest spawn of the Queen city was ORGANISM. Organism was formed from the remnants of former members of Grotesque Infection Lamont,Russ and Justin as well as a newcomer to the metal scene, Matt. In the next few years they strived to create an ecclectic sound combining elements of death metal, progressive and even jazz. While this formula may be cliche by today's standards, at the time, few bands in this part of the world were creating this type of musical culmination save for bands like Lethergy, Windbreed and of course Organism. Since that time Organism's members had gone on to their own projects. Most noteably Russ joining 3 Minutes of Hate after leaving Stemm and Lamont's forthcoming White Lotus solo CD. Originally this site was created in an attempt to share the unreleased Organism 94' CD and spread the music that was instrumental in forging 4 good friends into a musical killing machine.We hope that you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it.Too long overdue.Fastforward to 2007, after several requests and a little juggling of other projects and schedules, the core members of Organism have reunited and gone back into the lab to create the kind of music that melts your faces off and believe it, the new material will do just that! Slated for a late spring time release for the original Demo and a late summer release for the new material, we at the Organism hive aim to please and hopefully the new material and following support tour will do just that. In the meantime we will be posting the remasted versions of the 4 songs on the Demo CD until we have them available around early summer, 2008.Until then,PROTECT YA' GODDAMN NECK!
