Hi! Welcome to my page. I'm a bass player from the Triangle area of North Carolina. I've been doing gigs on bass for over 40 years now, playing my first gig in October of 1967, when I was just 14 years old. Since then, I've played everything from classical to country, top 40, funk and R & B, blues, straight ahead rock-n-roll, and musical theater productions, but mostly jazz. I started off on the upright bass, but picked up the electric bass just a couple of years later, and now play both.

A complete list of all of the bands with which I have played would be way too long to add here. I was especially lucky to spend some time back in the 70's with Spectrum Band, which featured future Toronto vocalist Holly (Anne) Woods.

Currently, I am doing gigs with the the Casablanca Orchestra , Maria Rolls and her Blues Train , the Raleigh Little Theatre , the Jimmy Aycock Trio, Swing Street , Michael Leonhardt, Dennis Michaels, ,. Dmitri Reznik, Earle Abernathy, and the Grainger Hill Preservation Society, Rick Keena, Chris Reynolds, and Tom Burnett and Swing Street.

Other groups I have performed with include the Platters, the Coasters , the Asheville Symphony , the ECU Symphony , Paul Montgomery, and the Tar River Swing Band , .

I am a strong reader with a broad knowledge of standards and can play in any situation from two pieces up to seventeen, and can play either electric, upright, or both.
