First off everybody asks about my name. The name was originally created by me. Basically to break it down short and sweet it means God- in- I. I'm simply just giving thanks to the one who made it possible for me to be here and bless me with a talent because without him, there would be no me.
I first started off writing poetry at a very young age to basically get emotions off my chest. As far as Rap, Hip Hop or whatever you wanna call it, I've always been in love with the music ever since i could remember. Hip Hop was and still is and will always be apart of my life and lifestyle. The way my poetry turned into music happen automacilly on its own, kind of like self explanatory, 2+2=4 type shit.So instead of writing poems I gradually started writing verses and hooks. God placed me in a position where I was introduced to my DOG that had a studio. By that time, I had enough material to come out with a mixtape. At that time there were others recording at the same studio as well which we all hit it off and we became friends. Especially one CAT in particular.. we clicked right from the jump. Big shout outs to them, they know who they are.
My first cd was a mixtape which came out in 2004 I believe, which thoughs who had a chance to listen to it enjoyed it and gave me my props, thank God.Then I stopped making music when my daughter was born for many reasons without getting to deep into details. But as they say "If you leave something you love and it comes back, it was meant to be truly yours.
My second cd/mixtape came out in the middle of 2008 which I'm still pushing and thoughs who've heard it enjoy it and of course give me my props. Till this day I have never heard anyone say anything negative about my music so obviously I'm doing something right.I believe 100% that this music dream of mine will come true sooner than later and I will do any and everything in my power to keep it alive.
Until then I will continue to promote my music with shows, cds, mixtapes, features, interviews, commercials and etc.This music dream is just the seed that I need to grow the plant of my success. I also have bigger dreams as well that surpass music.
