About Me

.. width="425" height="350" ..My name's Lewys and I live in a town...Little Lewys Ball started his career as a bobslayer (brake man, four man bobsled) at the tender age of seven years old. However, his career was short lived. During the great bobsled strike of 1976, Lewys accidentally burnt his parents house down whilst trying to burn a bobsled in a protest against the unfair and hostile depiction of the Swiss bobsled team in the hit motion picture 'Cool Runnings.'
Narowly escaping prison, Lewys was sentenced to 150 hours of community service which mainly consisted of painting council houses. This is when Lewys began to discover his flair for art.
Armed with a new passion for paint, a paint brush and a ladder, Lewys created his first work of art, entitled 'I'm gonna serve you so bad that you're gonna wish you never got served.' Although badly faded, this work can still be seen today on the side of Kirkstall community centre in Leeds.
This work of art was branded a critical and commercial success and landed Lewys a commission from the British Arts Council, which he would use to create his most experimental piece 'Experimental Piece no.1.' This striking piece of modern art consisted of a series of wallet sized holograms containing pictures of different electric pylons from around the country. These holograms were dispatched as free gifts in packets of Kellogs Corn Flakes and Frosties. When asked why he chose to embark on such a ground breaking project Lewys answered 'Mainly, because it's a challenge.' Despite the project's critical acclaim and wide spread distribution, it failed to reach it's target audience and Lewys lost his Art Council Funding.
After this blow, Lewys sank into a deep depression and friends and family began to worry about him. His next project 'Disarm' was his most radical yet. Disarm was a shocking piece of performance art where Lewys would cut off both of his arms. His left arm is rumoured to have sold for $15, 000 on ebay.
Sinking deeper into depression, fueled by the absence of his arms and an inability to learn to paint using his feet, Lewys attempted to throw himself out of a window. Luckily, because of his lack of arms, he failed to open the safety catch on the window before his close friend Jayne Wones intercepted the cold case of attempted self murder.
Following this ordeal Lichael was sectioned for several years. Reports of his current state of mind and activities are far and few between, although there have been many supposed sightings of him in the west Yorkishire area, and several rumours suggesting that he is training to become the world's first armless helicopter pilot using new state of the art, leg based technology.
