Doom, dooom, dah, doom doom, doom, dah, dooom, doooooom!
most forms of edm, idm, and ebm....breaks, dnb (especially atmospheric), hard house etc. there's a whole list of other various forms of music i dig....lately i've been listening to a lot of incubus, portishead, jack johnson, jem, fiona apple, dream theater, thievery corporation, frou frou, chicane, the cure, type o, depeche mode, android lust, wumpscut, computorgirl, autechre, imogean heap...
heathers, amelie, À la folie...pas du tout, moonstruck, fear and loathing, kalifornia, suicide club, garden state, liberty heights, lock stock, edward scissorhands (and any tim burton film), usual suspects, smoochy, fight club, snatch, eternal sunshine, true romance, .....and then, of course, all the classics: breakfast club, sixteen candles, true romance, stand by me, labryinth...
im not really a big tv watcher, but most of the shows i do watch are cartoons: home movies, futurama, family guy, aeon flux, the simpsons, the state, the grim adventures of billy and mandy, kids in the hall...
christopher moore; david sosnowski; hunter s. thompson: hell's angels, fear and loathing; ayn rand: anthem, atlas shrugged, the fountainhead; the politics of justice; vampires the occult (haha); shopgirl; she's come undone; baggage; memoirs of a geisha; the chosen; brett easton ellis novels; chuckie p. (as i like to call him after watching his documentary) with the likes of choke, stranger than fiction and lullaby.....and then there's augusten burroughs of running with scissors and other delightful diddies. sounds cliche, but i've grown a liking for books that explain the messed up and damaging scenarios that play out behind closed doors. they give me the quiet sensibility and wide-eyed realization that my life isn't quite as rotundly bizarre as i've grown to believe.
