The Motives first formed in early 2007 with a few nights of guitar messing and a couple of buds. With a couple of tunes in the making developments were made and it was soon time for a demo. By this time original members Steven Reynolds and Gary McDonald required a drummer and bassist to fill in the parts. Gregor McPharlane and Ross Devlin stepped in, completing the four piece band.
With a matter of two weeks left to bring the newest member up to date before the debut gig, time was tight. Nevertheless, it all came together and the band performed at Cumbernauld Theatre on Saturday 13th October.
